They will drag them all out and slaughter them clean, to uphold justice."
He smiled at the three Mission Hall elders, a faintly threatening gleam in his eyes.
"Th-That won't be necessary. There's no need to make such a mountain out of a molehill."
At those words, the black-robed elder's hair stood on end, and sweat poured down his face. He hurriedly laughed it off.
What a joke. If this matter were handed to those iron-faced, impartial lunatics of the Council of Elders, all their plotting would inevitably be exposed. It would cause a massive upheaval, and no one knew how many people would die.
