"Hmm?!"
Xia Ping's avatar stepped through the bronze gate and immediately felt space and time shift around him. In an instant, he found himself in another world.
Fortunately, the two worlds did not sever the connection between the avatar and the main body. The main body could still perceive the specific conditions of this world through the avatar.
"Is this Origin Star?"
Xia Ping stood where he was.
He found another ancient bronze gate beside him, but ahead lay an endless plain.
This should have been a world of beautiful mountains and clear waters, yet now it had all collapsed. Every palace, mountain, river, and everything else had been utterly destroyed, reduced to ruined walls and shattered remnants.
As far as the eye could see stretched a boundless, enormous plain, littered everywhere with broken rubble and terrifying void cracks that extended all the way to the end of the sky.
Even the entire world was shrouded in darkness, permeated by an aura of deathly stillness.
"Would a place like this even have any treasures?"
Xia Ping had never imagined that the true Origin Star would look like this. He had thought a god's dwelling ought to be luxurious, filled with treasures, resplendent in gold and jade, sacred and inviolable, its divine might like a prison.
But now it had become ruins, like a world after the apocalypse.
"Wait, time here seems to have stopped."
A trace of shock appeared in his eyes, because he discovered that time throughout Origin Star seemed to have frozen, forever halted at the instant when the entire planet had been destroyed.
Even individual specks of dust were imprisoned in the air, utterly unable to move. The rivers upon the land could not flow, and even the currents of air could not circulate in this place.
