"What is going on?"

The Soul-Devouring Beast was instantly startled. It immediately sensed a massive shift in the heavens and earth. Looking up, it discovered that the sky had been blotted out by dark clouds at some unknown moment.

Endless dark clouds churned as if a giant dragon were tossing and turning.

Deep within the void, a massive black hole had appeared. Countless bolts of lightning surged within it, roaring and rumbling as if a God of Thunder resided in its depths.

From this black hole emanated an aura that made countless living beings feel a sense of dread.

The army of one hundred thousand Evil Demons clearly felt this astonishing aura as well. Every one of them was terrified, as if facing an impending catastrophe; this was the might of Heaven, impossible to resist.

"What the hell!"

The Soul-Devouring Beast immediately recognized what this was and cursed out loud: "This is a Heavenly Punishment! What is going on? Why does a Heavenly Punishment exist in this place? Which idiot triggered it? Are they tired of living?!"

"If you want to die, that's your business, but don't drag others down with you!"

It was incredibly panicked; no one knew the terror of a Heavenly Punishment better than it did.

Once one encounters a Heavenly Punishment, even a divine beast has a nine-in-ten chance of perishing.

Within the Soul-Devouring Beast race, some kin had encountered Heavenly Punishments and were struck dead by the Nine Heavens lightning, leaving not even a corpse behind.

The problem was, it had committed countless evils, killed without mercy, and devoured planet after planet, yet it had never encountered a Heavenly Punishment.

To the universe, the death of life was a common occurrence. Countless lives withered away every day, and the lives the Soul-Devouring Beast had extinguished
