Background

Yu Xiaogang resided in the God Realm as the Fart God, accompanied by the divine beast Luo Sanpao. After hearing a voice he recognized as Bibi Dong calling him to the Douluo Continent, he became determined to reach her, despite having a wife, Liu Erlong, who had already died in the lower realm. 4

To descend without authorization, Yu Xiaogang had Luo Sanpao incapacitate a divine official, stole the official’s token, and entered a teleportation channel. Tang San altered the destination, diverting him to the Douluo Continent rather than the Holy Demon Continent. 5 6

Di Tian later attacked him. Yu Xiaogang attempted to flee, but Luo Sanpao sacrificed itself to protect him. Though Yu Xiaogang begged Tang San to save Sanpao, he refused to surrender his divine position and power as the price of its resurrection. 8 9

Feng Yan subsequently extracted Luo Sanpao’s soul, sealed Yu Xiaogang’s godhood, and converted Sanpao’s body into his martial soul. This left him as a level 91 Titled Douluo with an unprecedented set of nine ten-year spirit rings. 14

Appearance

Yu Xiaogang normally wears a scholar’s robe, though his first arrival in Star Luo City left him visibly travel-worn, muddy, and disheveled. 29

Yu Xiaogang is deeply vain and highly protective of his reputation. Praise and flattery readily sway him, while criticism of his theories or status provokes anger. Dai Hao quickly recognizes that Yu Xiaogang can be managed by preserving his pride and avoiding direct opposition. 30 31 34

He fears death intensely. Although distressed by Luo Sanpao’s sacrifice, he openly prioritizes retaining his divine position over reviving his companion. 9 13 His attachment to Bibi Dong also drives his initial descent to the lower realm. 4 5

After Tang San imprisons and humiliates him, Yu Xiaogang’s former devotion to his eldest disciple turns into an obsession with revenge. He seeks allies, power, and a future God King capable of reclaiming the Golden Dragon King’s God Core and killing Tang San. 54 68 93 119

Golden Dragon King Alliance

In the God Forbidden Land, Yu Xiaogang appeals to the Golden Dragon King to kill Tang San. He later becomes host to the dragon king’s residual will and uses the God Core’s power in pursuit of revenge. 68 79 89

Loss of the God Core

Yu Xiaogang’s attempt to use Golden Dragon King power against Di Tian and the Silver Dragon King ends in defeat. Feng Yan later enters his spiritual sea, takes the God Core, and destroys Yu Xiaogang’s immediate path toward becoming a God King. 91 93

Raising a New Child of Destiny
