Background / History

Bai Paopao was the playful princess of the Demon Soul Great White Shark clan and the daughter of Skeleton, the clan's matriarch. At ninety thousand years of cultivation, she repeatedly avoided meditation and ran away from home to escape being confined in Pearl Cottage and forced to cultivate. Her mother believed that, without outside help, she would need at least another thousand years to reach the hundred-thousand-year threshold. 81 90

While foraging near coastal waters, Bai Paopao followed the scent of the Sea God Trident that Tang Heng had placed on his fishing line. Mistaking him for the Sea God, she was hooked aboard the Starsea cruise ship, subdued, shrunk down, and concealed in an iron bucket. 81 82

Tang Heng later took her to his Minecraft Plane, where she discovered that consuming its soul beasts gave her unusually pure energy. After being injured by a Drowned, she received the Sea God Trident from Tang Heng and used it to help kill the creature. The resulting experience and Sea God's Light allowed her to break through into a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast and receive the Sea God's Nine Trials. 84 85

Her disappearance prompted Skeleton and two Demon Soul Great White Sharks to stop the Starsea. Bai Paopao overcame her fear, revealed herself, and apologized to her mother. After Tang Heng demonstrated the Sea God inheritance by bringing them to Sea God Island, Skeleton agreed to let Bai Paopao continue the trials under Tang Heng's care. 89 91 96

Bai Paopao and Tang Heng completed the First Trial by reaching the summit of Sea God's Temple stairs under Sea God's Light.
