"Steel Bone!!!!"
The devils' scouts immediately shouted at the top of their lungs after clearly seeing the invading enemy!
Steel Bones were monsters with sturdy horse bodies and sickly human arms and faces. Their upper bodies were pale flesh, oozing painful pus. Thick horns jutted from their foreheads. They wore intricately constructed full-body armor, with tufts of short, stiff hair protruding through the gaps. A Steel Bone stood nine feet tall and weighed 2,600 pounds. Abyssal runes were usually carved into their weapons and armor. This armor was not forged by hand, but born with them; these natural shells provided Steel Bones with excellent defense. Relying on these natural carapaces, Steel Bones became the heavy cavalry of demonkind, one of the few demon species that perfectly combined mobility and impact power.
Steel Bones understood their role on the battlefield and relished it. Their charges brought the greatest possible destruction and chaos. Once they entered close combat, they switched to heavy flails, wildly swinging them while kicking at enemies with their hooves. Steel Bones were born for battle. Like other demons, they had little interest in anything beyond fighting and slaughter. They spent most of their lives in combat.
When they were not fighting or planning a fight, Steel Bones were at their most dangerous and unpredictable, because there was no target for them to vent their rage on.
The devils reacted so strongly upon seeing Steel Bones because Steel Bones were among the rare demons in the Abyss capable of fighting devils to a standstill in group combat. Their teamwork was exceptionally strong, and they were regarded as a troublesome presence even within the Abyss. They lived together in tribes and constantly launched attacks and raids against other demons—a typical bandit race.
It was precisely because of this trait that
