With the order to fire shouted, a beam of golden light erupted from the barrel.
As the golden light appeared, the entire world seemed to darken, as though all the light in the world had been absorbed by it.
That golden light was so brilliant that everyone who saw it was involuntarily captivated. The devils on the other side were somewhat different—they had not even seen what had happened before they were engulfed in golden light, unable to see anything at all.
There was no sound, only light that devoured everything.
The devils hiding within the Final Fortress knew nothing of it.
But it was not over yet! The golden light passed through the Final Fortress with virtually no resistance, then continued toward the Blood War portal guarded by Ferrug. The light plunged straight into the portal, which began to distort before erupting with endless radiance as well.
Though it sounded exaggerated, no one present actually understood what had happened. They only saw the Tesla Cannon fire a beam of light, after which the radiance flared so brightly that they could see nothing. All that remained were bolts of lightning darting wildly through the air and a series of cracking sounds from some unknown source, trying to tell them that something had indeed happened.
What followed caught everyone even more off guard!
The light at the cannon's muzzle had only just dimmed when a strange disturbance of energy made every demon inexplicably tense. There was no reason for it—only instinct.
