As Makelele identified the enemy, several knights riding flame-wreathed warhorses slowly emerged from the darkness of the alley.

None of these knights seemed alive. At the very least, no one present could sense any living presence from them! Accompanied by the heavy clank of armor, eight Dread Knights clad from head to toe in pitch-black heavy plate drew the massive Vorpal Swords at their waists. Their fully enclosed helmets exposed only their eyes, revealing blood-red pupils within which flames seemed to burn.

Yet when those present met those blood-red eyes, they felt no warmth at all—only a merciless desire to kill.

The evil demonic warhorses—Nightmares—had also become exceptionally docile. They showed none of their usual savage aura and instead snorted obediently under their masters' control like ordinary warhorses. Yet the madness blazing from their flame-filled eye sockets reminded everyone that they were still demons that thirsted for blood and death!

The tattered black cloaks of the riders atop the Nightmares fluttered gently in the night wind, while phantom faces of countless wailing souls continuously surfaced upon them.

Neigh—whinny, whinny!!!

As the leading Dread Knight viciously yanked the reins, the Nightmare beneath him let out an impatient shriek. It reared up, raising its blazing forehooves high into the air before slamming them heavily onto the ground!

As though it were a battle horn, all the Dread Knights raised their Vorpal Swords and urged their Nightmares into a charge!

Rumble!

There were clearly only eight knights, yet when they charged, it felt as though heaven and earth were collapsing. The ground split apart, nearby houses began to crumble, and cries of death filled the air. Even hotter flames suddenly erupted from the Nightmares, whose hooves stamped upon the air itself.
