I'd originally planned to start this month with two chapters a day and stockpile drafts for the New Year. Otherwise, I'd still be typing away at home on New Year's Eve, and that would be miserable.
With two chapters a day, naturally I wouldn't be asking for votes.
But who would have thought there'd be a "Golden Keyboard Event"? Lao Jiu could only shamelessly come ask for votes.
Here's my promise: for every thousand votes reached, I'll add one extra chapter.
Of course, at most I can only add one chapter per day. That's Lao Jiu's limit.
A thousand votes might sound like a lot, but really, if just one out of every ten readers kept voting every day, there'd probably be well over a thousand votes daily.
Why?
First, Golden Keyboard votes are free! As long as you log into Chuangshi, you get votes—and each person gets more than one.
(My account had three votes on the first day. After I cast them, I discovered fifteen had appeared today, so I gave them to another good friend.) Second, so I'm guessing that readers who keep voting every day will receive more and more votes each day. It's possible to get dozens in a single day.
Under those circumstances, even if only a hundred readers cast their free votes in a day, that would nearly be a thousand votes.
A thousand votes every day means one extra chapter every day.
And there can be only one extra chapter at most.
Of course, that's just Lao Jiu taking things for granted. In reality, even if the votes are free, probably only one out of every hundred readers would vote. Getting five hundred votes in a day would already be the absolute limit.
That's perfectly normal! After all, only true die-hard fans
