Lu Ye sat on a rock, inspecting the Storage Bag in his hand. There was not much inside, but not little either. All told, it was worth roughly thirty or forty Spirit Stones.
Not every cultivator was as obscenely rich as he was. When Lu Ye had left the camp this time, his Storage Bag alone held several hundred Spiritual Pills, along with several hundred Spirit Stones. He had only a few Spirit Talismans, though. As his cultivation steadily rose, those low-grade Spirit Talismans had become largely useless.
Both he and Amber relied on eating Spiritual Pills to raise their cultivation. At this stage, one man and one tiger consumed around thirty or forty pills a day. Lu Ye had eaten so many Spiritual Pills that he was nearly sick of them. More than once, he had wished they came in different flavors.
So even though Lu Ye carried quite a few Spiritual Pills, they would not last him very long.
That was also one reason he had come to the Inner Circle before reaching Tier Eight. Cultivation consumed too much. If he kept this up, sooner or later he would eat through his savings and be left with nothing. Hua Ci had plenty of Spiritual Pills, but he could not keep taking from her forever.
Compared to him, most cultivators were actually quite poor. Other than the monthly stipend issued by their sect each month, they had few channels through which to acquire cultivation resources. Whatever Spiritual Pills and Spirit Stones they obtained were basically consumed in cultivation, and there was rarely anything left over.
Still, it was undoubtedly far better than the gains Lu Ye had made killing enemies in the Outer Circle. After all, Inner Circle cultivators had higher cultivation and somewhat thicker family fortunes.
"Lu Ye!"
