Lu Ye stepped down from the Teleportation Array and came to a small tree as tall as a man. He plucked a fruit from it, white as jade. "What is this?"
Nine Infants' somewhat muffled voice sounded in his mind. "Jade Dao Fruit."
Crack...
Lu Ye smacked his lips, somewhat dissatisfied. "Doesn't have much flavor, but the texture's pretty good!"
"Don't eat it so fast. Take small bites! Refine it, refine it—do you understand? If you swallow it like that and don't refine it in time, what a waste!" Nine Infants cried out, feeling that Lu Ye was ruining heaven's gifts and aching terribly over it.
Every fruit tree and every flower and plant in this Medicine Garden had been painstakingly selected by it. Though they had all now fallen into Lu Ye's hands, it still could not bear to watch him waste them so recklessly.
"Shut up!" Lu Ye wolfed down a Jade Dao Fruit in two or three bites, even chewing up and swallowing the fruit core. "They're my fruits. I'll eat them however I want."
Nine Infants ultimately knew too little about him. With the Talent Tree's power activated, how could there possibly be any waste? No matter how much Dao power the fruit contained, it could be easily refined.
The few fruits on the tree were quickly eaten clean, and Lu Ye headed toward another area.
He walked and stopped, but his eating never ceased. Dao power rapidly accumulated on the Talent Tree.
"Madness, madness!" Nine Infants was in unbearable pain. If it had not been reduced to a mere sliver of spiritual consciousness and utterly incapable of stopping Lu Ye, it would have leapt out and beaten him senseless.
The feeling was like watching a treasure it cherished beyond measure being casually kneaded and ruined
