Dragon Palace was quiet as Zhu Yin led the group onward, with Su Yan walking beside her.
Lu Ye held one little one in each hand, following behind as he looked around curiously.
Before long, a courtyard appeared ahead. This was Zhu Yin's residence within Dragon Palace.
She invited everyone inside. A long table stood in the courtyard, already laden with exquisite platters of fruit. At the sight of them, the two little ones' eyes lit up, and they pounced on the food.
A moment later, everyone took their seats.
Su Yan and Zhu Yin chatted and laughed together. Lu Ye sat beside them, while the two little ones stuffed themselves without restraint.
After quite some time, Lu Ye was truly bored to death. He did not know whether all women were like this, but ever since Su Yan and Zhu Yin had met, they seemed to have endless things to say. And they were not discussing cultivation, only trivial incidents from their daily lives.
Yet no matter which one was speaking, the other listened with rapt attention, as though hearing sacred music.
After waiting a while longer and seeing no sign that they intended to stop, Lu Ye got up on his own and headed outside.
At the long table, Zhu Yin was listening to Su Yan recount what she had encountered in that shattered One Yuan Starry Sky when the corner of her eye caught Lu Ye's departing figure.
A short while later, Lu Ye stood before a scroll painting, studying it. It was likely Zhu Yin's work. This Dragon maiden seemed skilled in painting; all kinds of scrolls hung throughout the room, and unfinished pieces lay atop the desk over there.
Footsteps sounded behind him. Lu Ye turned and saw Zhu Yin approaching, which surprised him somewhat.
