The Demon Race combatant was a silver Demonic Wolf. Its true body stood over a thousand zhang tall, its fur sleek and gleaming, looking every inch the majestic beast.
Though the three Dragon Race Half-Saints had also revealed their true forms, each had only transformed into a thousand-zhang body to face the Demonic Wolf.
The four colossal creatures rammed and tore at one another, fighting like true beasts with extreme savagery. Wolf howls and dragon roars rang out from time to time.

Yet the deadlock was ultimately broken by Lu Ye's arrival. Sensing the approaching killing intent—and especially having earlier noticed Ming Feng's death—the Demonic Wolf Half-Saint did not dare tarry when he caught sight of Lu Ye charging in with saber in hand. In panic, he withdrew his demonic form and fled into the distance like an arrow loosed from the bowstring.
Lu Ye, pouncing toward him, narrowed his eyes slightly. Without the slightest delay, he swept his saber horizontally.
