Ch. 1784This Is a Misunderstanding

Lu Ye was trapped inside the Core World and questioned four cultivators who tried to claim him for their own groups. After his overwhelming Sacred Nature subdued them, he learned they were Wang Taisheng, Zhou Ran, Xiang Yin, and Xuan Yu, and that everyone who stayed in this world gradually acquired Blood Race traits.

  • Lu Ye returned from the gloom after finding an impassable boundary and approached Wang Taisheng, Zhou Ran, Xiang Yin, and Xuan Yu for information.
  • Zhou Ran tried to take Lu Ye to his Cave Abode, but Wang Taisheng intervened, and the four cultivators fought over who would take Lu Ye.
  • The cultivators unleashed Blood Sea Arts, and Lu Ye realized they wielded pure Blood Race Mystic Arts despite appearing to belong to other races.
  • Zhou Ran demanded Lu Ye's Storage Ring, so Lu Ye released his Sacred Nature and instantly collapsed the Blood Sea, leaving all four cultivators terrified.
  • Xiang Yin and Xuan Yu agreed to answer Lu Ye's questions, and Wang Taisheng, Zhou Ran, Xiang Yin, and Xuan Yu identified their original races.
  • Xiang Yin explained that cultivators who remained in the Core World gradually gained Blood Race traits and eventually no longer knew what race they counted as.

Ch. 1785First Generation Blood Race

Xiang Yin explained that the blood rain had gradually turned her group into First Generation Blood Race, and Lu Ye learned that the Red Talisman Society and Sacred Blood Peak recruited cultivators based on whether they had been tainted by Sacred Nature. The group had avoided joining either faction, but Zhou Ran warned that they could not hold out much longer.

  • Xiang Yin told Lu Ye that outsiders stranded in this world slowly acquired Blood Race abilities and were considered First Generation Blood Race.
  • Xiang Yin explained her theory that the Blood Ancestor had transformed members of other races into the first Blood Race, whose descendants became the Blood Race of today.
  • Blood rain fell from the sky, and Lu Ye recognized its faint Sacred Nature as the source of the group's transformation and abilities.
  • Wang Taisheng told Lu Ye that the Red Talisman Society sheltered newcomers who avoided contamination, while Sacred Blood Peak accepted those tainted by Sacred Nature.
  • Xiang Yin explained that her group had not joined Sacred Blood Peak because doing so would draw them into conflict with the Red Talisman Society, and Zhou Ran said they could not hold out much longer.

Ch. 1786Warning

Lu Ye learned that Sacred Blood Peak held overwhelming advantages over the Red Talisman Society, whose Red Talismans kept the factions locked in conflict. After hearing that the next Black Abyss Contest might break the realm’s blockade, Lu Ye planned to find the Red Talisman Society, and Xiang Yin warned him not to seek refuge with Sacred Blood Peak.

  • Zhou Ran explained that cultivators in the realm were running out of resources, and Lu Ye realized the others had targeted the supplies he brought with him.
  • Zhou Ran and the others told Lu Ye that Sacred Blood Peak outnumbered the Red Talisman Society, possessed a Sunlight cultivator and controlled the realm’s only Spirit Jade Vein, while Red Talismans kept the factions evenly matched.
  • Xiang Yin told Lu Ye that a Black Abyss Contest was held every ten years and that victory might break the realm’s blockade; the previous contest had been nine years earlier.
  • Lu Ye asked for the Red Talisman Society’s stronghold, then decided to seek them out and accepted a rough map of the realm from Xiang Yin.
  • Xiang Yin warned Lu Ye that his intense Sacred Nature could make Sacred Blood Peak dangerous for him, despite his relatively low cultivation.

Ch. 1787Happy Event

Lu Ye searched for the Red Talisman Society in the Core World and triggered one of its underground formations, but escaped and found Hu Dequan. After Lu Ye showed the Red Talisman’s power, Hu Dequan recognized him as an envoy from Square Inch Mountain and welcomed the news of his arrival.

  • Lu Ye studied Xiang Yin’s map, suspected its marked region held the Red Talisman Society’s stronghold, and set out to find them.
  • Lu Ye searched the region and explored underground passages, reasoning that the Red Talisman Society would hide beneath the surface to avoid blood rain.
  • Lu Ye triggered a hidden formation in a cavern, but used a Void Spirit Pattern and his Clone’s location to escape before it could kill him.
  • Lu Ye followed the formation’s remote controller and met the purple-eyed Demon Race cultivator Hu Dequan.
  • Lu Ye showed Hu Dequan the Red Talisman’s power and confirmed he had come from Square Inch Mountain, exciting Hu Dequan about the Red Talisman Society’s prospects.

Ch. 1788Let Me Explain

Lu Ye sought to join the Red Talisman Society and met its leaders, Hu Dequan, Yang Ling, and Meng Xu. A test of his blood revealed Sacred Nature, and the three cultivators surrounded him, leaving him asking for a chance to explain.

  • Hu Dequan learned Lu Ye came from the Eastern Division and claimed Su Yuqing as his cultivation partner, then led him to meet other Red Talisman Society members.
  • Yang Ling and Meng Xu arrived, and both reacted with surprise when Lu Ye named Su Yuqing as his cultivation partner.
  • Yang Ling tested Lu Ye's Red Talisman, then Meng Xu gave him a spherical treasure to test for Sacred Nature.
  • Lu Ye's blood made the sphere glow red, and Hu Dequan, Yang Ling, and Meng Xu spread out to surround him.
  • Lu Ye tossed the sphere back and asked to explain, while Yang Ling said they were too slow to find him before the blood rain tainted him.

Ch. 1789Listening Snow Peak

After escaping the Red Talisman Society, Lu Ye settled on Listening Snow Peak with Xiang Yin and Xuan Yu, unable to convince the Society that he was not their future enemy. When Xiang Yin mentioned the Demonic Eye would blink again soon, Lu Ye seized on the chance to study the Blood Eye Spirit Pattern he had glimpsed before.

  • Yang Ling, Meng Xu, and Hu Dequan tried to kill Lu Ye because they believed his strong Sacred Nature would eventually drive him to join Sacred Blood Peak, but Lu Ye escaped using a teleportation technique.
  • Meng Xu discovered that Lu Ye had left a large amount of Lingyu in his Storage Ring, while Hu Dequan recognized his kindness and Yang Ling remained distrustful.
  • Lu Ye flew to Listening Snow Peak and asked to stay with Xiang Yin and Xuan Yu, who agreed and gave him Xiang Yin's cabin.
  • After nearly ten days, Xiang Yin told Lu Ye that she and Xuan Yu would leave for several days because the Demonic Eye was due to blink again.
  • Lu Ye became eager to learn more when Xiang Yin mentioned the Demonic Eye, recalling the Blood Eye Spirit Pattern he had only partly seen in the wonder.

Ch. 1790Red Talisman Ambush

Lu Ye learned that the Demon Eye Blink’s source likely lay in the Core World and watched a Blood Moon appear, using it to study its Spiritual Pattern. He realized Xiang Yin had lied about its effects and sensed a Red Talisman ambush just before its attack razed Listening Snow Peak.

  • Xiang Yin told Lu Ye that the Demon Eye Blink’s source was likely in the Core World and explained that the Blood Moon signaled an approaching blink.
  • Xiang Yin gave Lu Ye the Grand Array’s Jade Token and left with Xuan Yu, while Lu Ye chose to wait outside rather than hide.
  • The Blood Moon appeared, and Lu Ye studied its patterns while discovering that its radiance made him feel at ease and strengthened his Blood Race Mystic Arts.
  • Lu Ye concluded that Xiang Yin had lied and that Sacred Nature-tainted cultivators reacted differently to the Blood Moon than he did.
  • Lu Ye sensed concealed Magic Power fluctuations and deduced that a defector from the Red Talisman Society had launched a Red Talisman attack.
  • A colossal crimson spear struck Listening Snow Peak and completely razed the mountain.

Ch. 1791Do We Have a Grudge?

Lu Ye survived the Red Talisman attack and cornered the Xiang Yin sisters and the Sacred Blood Peak cultivator responsible. After killing the cultivator, he confronted Xiang Yin, who admitted she had set him up to improve her own chances of survival.

  • Xiang Yin and Xuan Yu watched the red-robed Sacred Blood Peak cultivator prepare to recover after he used a Red Talisman to destroy Listening Snow Peak.
  • Lu Ye arrived unharmed, and Xiang Yin and Xuan Yu tried to flee before his Blood Rivers trapped them and the red-robed cultivator.
  • The red-robed cultivator tried to activate a Purple Talisman, but Lu Ye’s Sacred Nature suppressed him, and Lu Ye killed him with a slash of his blade.
  • Lu Ye told the sisters he would not report the cultivator’s identity outside, then asked Xiang Yin whether she had deliberately directed him toward the Red Talisman Society and Listening Snow Peak’s traps.
  • Xiang Yin admitted she had plotted against Lu Ye despite having no grudge against him, saying she had acted to survive.

Ch. 1792Starting a New Venture

Lu Ye spared Xiang Yin after she admitted trying to use him as a bargaining chip, and he decided to recruit the sisters as he began building his own force against Sacred Blood Peak. Xiang Yin offered herself to serve him, but Lu Ye warned her that any more schemes would put Xuan Yu's life at risk, then told her to refine something.

  • Xiang Yin confessed that she had tried to get Lu Ye killed so she and Xuan Yu could gain favor with Sacred Blood Peak, then begged him to spare her sister.
  • Lu Ye struck Xiang Yin but deliberately left her alive, and she later woke in Xuan Yu's arms with her wound healed.
  • Lu Ye decided he needed to recruit scattered cultivators, target Sacred Blood Peak, and investigate how the realm's lockdown would be lifted.
  • Xiang Yin crawled to Lu Ye and offered to serve him, but he threatened to kill Xuan Yu if she tried any more tricks.
  • Lu Ye told Xiang Yin to refine something if she wanted to live.

Ch. 1793Sisters United

Lu Ye made Xiang Yin refine his Treasure Blood, and Xuan Yu joined her in enduring the dangerous process. After the sisters survived and became his followers, Lu Ye’s group recruited Zhou Ran, who learned that Sacred Blood Peak had already tried and failed to assassinate Lu Ye.

  • Xiang Yin accepted Lu Ye’s Treasure Blood, and Lu Ye took Xuan Yu away while Xiang Yin underwent a dangerous refinement in a Blood Sea.
  • Xuan Yu rushed into the Blood Sea to join her sister, and both sisters survived the refinement; Xiang Yin emerged with enhanced Sacred Nature and asked Lu Ye for more Treasure Blood.
  • Xiang Yin defeated Zhou Ran and offered him the choice to join Lu Ye’s command.
  • Zhou Ran recognized Lu Ye’s strength, accepted his command, and learned that a Late Stage cultivator from Sacred Blood Peak had attempted to assassinate Lu Ye with a Red Talisman.

Ch. 1794Favoring One Over Another

Lu Ye gathered Zhou Ran and Wang Taisheng as subordinates and gave each a drop of Treasure Blood to strengthen their Sacred Nature, despite the danger of refining it. Both men survived the process, leaving Lu Ye astonished because their success seemed inconsistent with what he knew about Sacred Blood’s risks.

  • Zhou Ran offered to recruit Wang Taisheng, and Lu Ye sent him with Xiang Yin to bring Wang Taisheng back or eliminate him if he refused.
  • Wang Taisheng agreed to submit because he believed Lu Ye could eventually defeat the Red Talisman Society and free cultivators trapped in the world.
  • Lu Ye gave Zhou Ran and Wang Taisheng one drop of Treasure Blood each to refine, while Xiang Yin and Xuan Yu asked for another drop apiece.
  • Lu Ye promised the sisters another drop each only if both Zhou Ran and Wang Taisheng survived refining theirs.
  • Wang Taisheng and Zhou Ran both successfully refined their Treasure Blood, surprising Lu Ye.

Ch. 1795Grant You an Opportunity—Do You Want It?

Lu Ye confirmed that his Treasure Blood was safer to refine than genuine Sacred Blood and used it to strengthen his followers. After capturing a Ghost Cultivator sent by Sacred Blood Peak, Lu Ye offered him Treasure Blood, and the captive survived the painful refinement.

  • Lu Ye gave his last two drops of Treasure Blood to the Xiang Yin sisters, who survived refining them and confirmed his suspicion that his Treasure Blood was less lethal than Sacred Blood.
  • After resting for two days, Lu Ye sent Xiang Yin and the others to find scattered cultivators while he stayed at Black Prison Cliff to condense more Treasure Blood.
  • A Ghost Cultivator sent by Sacred Blood Peak investigated the destruction of Listening Snow Peak, but Lu Ye detected and captured him.
  • More than half a month later, Lu Ye offered the captured Ghost Cultivator a drop of Treasure Blood and ordered him to refine it.
  • The Ghost Cultivator endured the painful process and survived, further confirming Lu Ye's belief that his Treasure Blood was safer than genuine Sacred Blood.

Ch. 1796Ambush

Lu Ye planted Zhou Tianbao as a spy in Sacred Blood Peak and organized ambushes that strengthened his position and helped the Red Talisman Society. Months later, the Red Talisman Society’s leaders gathered at their essential hidden stronghold to discuss the growing threat.

  • Lu Ye questioned Zhou Tianbao, settled on a cover story for his return to Sacred Blood Peak, and learned that Li Tian was occupied with an important matter.
  • Xiang Yin and three others returned with seven or eight scattered cultivators, whom Lu Ye brought under his command.
  • Lu Ye sent Xuan Yu and Xiang Yin to ambush Sacred Blood Peak near Jinfeng Valley, instructing them to avoid conflict with the Red Talisman Society and prioritize their safety.
  • Xuan Yu and Xiang Yin returned after striking Sacred Blood Peak’s forces and helping the Red Talisman Society, and Lu Ye rewarded them before resuming his Treasure Blood cultivation.
  • Over the following months, Lu Ye used Zhou Tianbao’s information to guide repeated ambushes, prompting Sacred Blood Peak to change its strategy.
  • Hu Dequan, Meng Xu, Yang Ling, and other Red Talisman Society leaders gathered at their indispensable hidden stronghold, where Spirit Plants sustained their cultivators.

Ch. 1797Sounding the Alarm

Hu Dequan, Yang Ling, and Meng Xu discussed the Rogue Cultivators’ attacks on Sacred Blood Peak and suspected Lu Ye was behind their organization. Lu Ye arrived with the Rogue Cultivators to warn that Sacred Blood Peak had found the Red Talisman Society Stronghold, then left with his group as Sacred Blood Peak moved against both the Stronghold and Black Prison Cliff.

  • Hu Dequan told Yang Ling and Meng Xu that Rogue Cultivators from Black Prison Cliff had destroyed several Sacred Blood Peak teams, and Meng Xu suggested Lu Ye might be responsible.
  • Lu Ye called from above the Stronghold, and Hu Dequan emerged to meet him while Yang Ling and Meng Xu approached by other routes.
  • Hu Dequan found Lu Ye accompanied by more than ten Rogue Cultivators, including four Moonlight Realm Late Stage cultivators, and warned Yang Ling and Meng Xu not to act rashly.
  • Lu Ye warned Hu Dequan that Sacred Blood Peak had discovered the Stronghold and was coming to surround it, then exchanged Sound Talisman imprints with him.
  • Lu Ye led the Rogue Cultivators away from Black Prison Cliff as Sacred Blood Peak’s forces advanced against both the Stronghold and Black Prison Cliff.

Ch. 1798Able to Bring It to Completion

Lu Ye relocated his forces, built an alliance with the Red Talisman Society, and prepared for the Black Abyss Contest while keeping his Sacred Nature secret from Li Tian. After learning that Li Tian had mastered part of a Secret Technique and losing his informant Zhou Tianbao, Lu Ye completed the Blood Eye Spirit Pattern on the Talent Tree.

  • Lu Ye led his forces away from Black Prison Cliff and accepted Hu Dequan’s offer of a hidden Stronghold, while the Red Talisman Society evacuated its own base.
  • Sacred Blood Peak attacked the Red Talisman Society’s Stronghold two days later, and Hu Dequan’s group avoided heavy losses thanks to Lu Ye’s warning.
  • The Red Talisman Society began working closely with Lu Ye, sharing intelligence about the Black Abyss Contest as both sides prepared for the coming battle.
  • Zhou Tianbao told Lu Ye that he had been exposed and warned that Li Tian had achieved minor success with a Secret Technique; Lu Ye then lost contact with him and could no longer sense his Sacred Blood.
  • Lu Ye warned Hu Dequan that Li Tian had emerged from seclusion, and he spent the following months supplying resources and secretly studying the Blood Moon.
  • After observing the Blood Moon again, Lu Ye completed the Blood Eye Spirit Pattern on the Talent Tree.

Ch. 1799Black Abyss Contest

Lu Ye completed the Blood Eye Spirit Pattern and joined the Red Talisman Society for the Black Abyss Contest, where they hoped to protect the Core World's Origin from the Blood Ancestor's Treasure Blood. The contest began with Lu Ye and his allies arriving at the Origin, whose consciousness was being eroded by the blood-red haze.

  • Lu Ye completed the Blood Eye Spirit Pattern and considered testing its effects on someone.
  • After Hu Dequan summoned him, Lu Ye gathered his subdued cultivators and met Hu Dequan, Yang Ling, Meng Xu, and the Red Talisman Society before the contest.
  • Lu Ye explained that Xiang Yin and the others were his loyal Blood Attendants, while his own Sacred Nature did not change that he was Human Race.
  • Hu Dequan, Yang Ling, and Zhang Xu used their Red Talismans to guide the Core World's consciousness, transporting the gathered cultivators into the Black Abyss.
  • Lu Ye and the others reached the Origin, where Hu Dequan explained that the contest was a battle to protect it from the Blood Ancestor's Treasure Blood.

Ch. 1800A Great Tonic

Lu Ye discovered that the Blood Ancestor’s Treasure Blood was corrupting the Core World’s source and used his Talent Tree to refine the Blood Light covering it, replenishing and increasing his Sacred Nature. As he struggled to cleanse the source before the coming battle, an old man appeared in his Divine Sea.

  • Hu Dequan explained that the Red Talisman Society had to defend the source until it expelled the invading Sacred Blood Peak cultivators.
  • Lu Ye approached the source and wondered whether a different consciousness had drawn him into the Core World.
  • Lu Ye touched the source and used his Talent Tree to refine its Blood Light, while Hu Dequan realized the process was helping the source.
  • Lu Ye found that refining the Blood Light rapidly restored and increased his Sacred Nature, though the corruption had seeped inside the source.
  • An old, white-haired man leaning on a cane appeared in Lu Ye’s Divine Sea.

Ch. 1801Origin Consciousness

Lu Ye met Old Man Fang, the consciousness of Square Inch Mountain, and learned that the Blood Ancestor's Treasure Blood had tainted the Origin through Sacred Nature left by fallen cultivators. As Sacred Blood Peak arrived for the Black Abyss Contest, Lu Ye prepared to lead the Red Talisman Society into a more aggressive defense.

  • Lu Ye questioned Old Man Fang about the Origin's crisis and learned the Treasure Blood's muddled consciousness could not enter the Origin Space.
  • Old Man Fang explained that Sacred Nature from fallen Sacred Blood Peak cultivators had tainted the Origin and urged Lu Ye to win the contest before helping him deal with the Treasure Blood.
  • Lu Ye continued refining the Treasure Blood power while Hu Dequan and the others prepared formations around the Origin.
  • Sacred Blood Peak arrived under Li Tian's command, and its cultivators spread out in Blood Seas to search for the Origin.
  • Lu Ye concealed himself with Hu Dequan and used his bloodline perception to track the Blood Attendants as the Red Talisman Society began its aggressive plan.
  • Xiang Yin led a ten-person team toward an approaching Blood Sea and called for the group to prepare to engage the enemy.

Ch. 1802Something Unusual Is Afoot

Lu Ye used Blood Attendants hidden within Sacred Blood Peak to help the Red Talisman Society ambush and wipe out multiple enemy teams. As the tide turned, Li Tian remained inactive, and Lu Ye sent Yang Ling to confront him after a Red Talisman killed five of their fighters.

  • Zhao Bingli revealed his overwhelming Sacred Nature during a clash, disrupting Sacred Blood Peak’s Blood Sea and enabling Xiang Yin’s team to destroy the enemy squad.
  • Hu Dequan learned that Xiang Yin’s team had wiped out a Sacred Blood Peak squad and handed command authority to Lu Ye.
  • Lu Ye coordinated hidden Blood Attendants as Wang Taisheng and Zhou Ran led another successful ambush, and the Red Talisman Society destroyed more Sacred Blood Peak teams.
  • Lu Ye grew wary because Li Tian remained stationary despite his side’s losses, then learned a Red Talisman had killed two Blood Attendants and three Red Talisman Society cultivators.
  • Lu Ye told Yang Ling to move out, and Yang Ling headed toward Li Tian’s position to contain him.

Ch. 1803Commanding from Behind the Curtain

Lu Ye led the Red Talisman Society to destroy Sacred Blood Peak’s forces, leaving only Li Tian alive. As their forces converged on Li Tian, his calm questions and strange inactivity deepened Lu Ye’s unease.

  • Yang Ling held Li Tian at bay with his Red Talisman but refused to attack first.
  • Lu Ye entered a Blood Sea, unleashed his Sacred Nature, and helped the Red Talisman Society rout the Sacred Blood Peak cultivators hiding within it.
  • Lu Ye moved between battlefields, and over two days his forces nearly wiped out Sacred Blood Peak while the balance of power shifted in their favor.
  • Hu Dequan praised Lu Ye’s command, but Lu Ye warned that Li Tian remained alive and agreed they had to confront him.
  • Lu Ye and Hu Dequan headed toward Li Tian as their forces converged, while Lu Ye wondered why Li Tian had kept his troops scattered and inactive.
  • Li Tian asked Yang Ling how the Red Talisman Society had defeated his forces and turned traitors against him, then dismissed the need for an answer.
