Background
Yang Ye died from exhaustion while reading Classroom of the Elite and awoke in Ayanokoji Kiyotaka's body, inheriting his memories as a Class 1-D student. The Ultimate Confession System completed their soul fusion and immediately imposed a lethal beginner task: confess to Kikyo Kushida before five classmates within 24 hours or face soul annihilation. 1
After completing the forced confession, he accepts himself as both Yang Ye and Ayanokoji. Rather than preserving the original Ayanokoji's low profile, he resolves to use the System to pursue a more direct goal: lead Class D to Class A before graduation. 4
Appearance
Ayanokoji is a high-school-aged boy whose naturally indifferent demeanor makes him difficult to read. His appearance and restrained manner initially support Class D's impression of him as a reclusive, unremarkable student. 1 4
- Slightly messy short black hair. 4
- Eyes usually described as lacking visible emotional fluctuation. 4
- Typically wears the school uniform; during the alley confrontation, he wears a white shirt with its sleeves rolled to his forearms and carries his blazer over his shoulders. 43
Personality
Ayanokoji remains calm under social pressure and physical danger. He delivers his public confession in a flat tone, ignores Class D's accusations afterward, and responds to Kushida's threats without panic. 1 2 3
Unlike the original body's withdrawn reputation, Yang Ye acts openly when he judges it necessary. He deliberately reveals academic and athletic ability, recruits classmates into a functional core team, and takes responsibility for Class D's strategic direction. 5 7 11 38
His protection of allies is pragmatic rather than sentimental. He helps Sudo avoid academic failure, negotiates against Manabe to protect Karuizawa and Ichinose, and repeatedly places himself in danger to rescue classmates; however, he also uses misinformation, leverage, and traps against opponents. 6 32 44 46 47
