The scene on the Sky Screen shifted.
[Kakuzu and Hidan crouched side by side atop a gigantic Buddha statue, half of whose body had already been buried underground. Several shafts of sunlight pierced through gaps in the dense forest and fell upon the moss-covered Buddha head.
"Say, the leader told us to capture some Tailed Beast. Why did you insist on bringing me to the White Tiger Duke Mansion?"
Hidan rested the Triple-Bladed Scythe, glowing with a bloody red light, on his shoulder and spoke listlessly.
"It's a Tailed Beast, Hidan,"
Kakuzu corrected.
"It doesn't matter what it's called!"
Hidan waved a hand impatiently.
"The important thing is, why did you drag me around on such a huge detour? First we went to the Sun Moon Empire to find some Holy Spirit Cult, and now we're in the Star Luo Empire looking for the White Tiger Duke Mansion. What exactly are you trying to do?"
Kakuzu gave a cold snort through his nose. He then slowly put away the map in his hand and closed his eyes.
"We're looking for the Holy Spirit Cult so they can draw the attention of the Star Luo Empire and Shrek Academy. That will let us make a move against the Dai Family and the Zhu Family without trouble."
He paused, reopened his dark green eyes, and cast Hidan a sidelong glance.
"You're so obsessed with the Evil God that you only have room for him in your head. When the leader assigned us this mission, you didn't listen to a single word, did you?"
