Yet Liu Bai's mind did not truly calm down.
"Spirit Realm..."
He murmured to himself.
He was only one step away from entering that realm. Yet that single step was like an insurmountable chasm before him, one he had been unable to cross for far too long.
He opened his eyes and looked toward the sky.
"Xian'er, isn't there an Alchemist Trade Fair the day after tomorrow?"
Xiao Yi Xian was slightly startled before nodding.
"Yes. Qing Lin said it seems to be a traditional event in Holy Pill City, held once every six months and open only to Alchemists."
A glint flashed through Liu Bai's eyes.
"An Alchemist Trade Fair..."
He pondered for a moment, then rose to his feet.
"I'll go prepare a few things."
Xiao Yi Xian looked at him without asking further questions, merely nodding gently.
Liu Bai turned and entered the room, closing the door behind him.
Over the following period, waves of scorching heat occasionally spread from within the room, accompanied now and then by a faint medicinal fragrance.
Xiao Yi Xian knew that he was refining something.
A day and a night later.
The door opened, and Liu Bai emerged, stretching lazily with a smile at the corner of his lips.
He touched his Storage Ring. There were already quite a few more items inside.
Though time had been somewhat tight, he had accumulated plenty of stock over the years. Taking out a portion as bargaining chips for trade would be more than enough.
Outside the courtyard gate, Xiao Yi Xian and Qing Lin had long been waiting.
Qing Lin's eyes lit up, and she skipped over excitedly.
"Young Master, Young Master! Are you ready? Are we going to that trade fair now?"
Liu Bai smiled and rubbed her head.
"Yes, I'm ready."
