The soil churned like boiling water as White Zetsu Tobi burst out of the ground, chakra chains in his hands tightly binding a figure who struggled without pause—
It was none other than the newly captured Otsutsuki Jingze. "Damn, what rotten luck. Captured alive! Now I've completely disgraced the Lunar Ōtsutsuki. Xiuyi won't kill me for this, will he?"
A pale purple mark flared on his forehead, but the formulas on the chains steadily ate away at its power, making its glow flicker.
"Lord Jingze, stop wasting your strength. Lord Black Zetsu specially designed this seal to deal with your kind."
Otsutsuki Jingze asked curiously, "Hey, why are you capturing me? Isn't this a little excessive? You attacked on three fronts just to draw everyone's attention and capture me?!"
"Yep, yep. Tobi will let you in on a little secret..."
White Zetsu Tobi shook the chains and leaned closer, lowering his voice with frivolous amusement. "Lord Black Zetsu said your bloodline makes you the crucial sacrifice for resurrecting Lady Kaguya."
"Really?! I don't think I'm a sacrifice... Hey, black sludge, take a look at this little treasure!"
Tobi really was an inquisitive little fellow, brimming with curiosity. "Ooh, ooh! Tobi wants to see! What treasure?"
A shrill screech suddenly erupted, grating like metal scraping against metal. Otsutsuki Jingze opened his mouth wide, and a pitch-black chakra sphere shot out with an aura of destruction. At the same instant, he snapped the chains, and the chakra mark on his forehead vanished.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Amazing! Lord Jingze still had enough strength hidden away to fight back... So dangerous, so dangerous! I almost got blown to ashes..."
Tobi lightly tapped the ground with his toes and slid several yards sideways like a phantom, narrowly avoiding the black sphere.
