"The Flying Thunder God Technique actually made use of overlapping space to let oneself pass through it."
As Minato Namikaze spoke, he picked up a leaf from the ground. Then he looked at Yuki Yuichi and said, "If it were you, going from one end of this leaf to the other..."
"How would you choose to get there?"
Yuki Yuichi was not that stupid. The moment he heard those words, he immediately understood.
It might have been somewhat difficult to fully grasp through the framework of ninjutsu, but if it was understood through the theory of wormhole travel in the universe, the principle became roughly clear.
Wormhole travel was like folding a sheet of paper and passing directly through the aligned cross-section from one end to the other. What Minato Namikaze meant was more or less the same.
Seeing that Yuki Yuichi seemed to have realized something, Minato Namikaze sighed inwardly once again. As expected of someone he believed had the potential of the Second.
He had merely offered a hint, yet Yuichi had figured it out on his own.
"You mean that the passage is unstable when space is folded for travel, Brother-in-law?"
"You could understand it that way." Minato Namikaze nodded. "The Flying Thunder God Technique essentially uses one's chakra to resonate with the Flying Thunder God mark, folding space and thereby enabling travel."
As Minato Namikaze spoke, he folded the leaf in his hand.
"And if you rashly enter this passage before you are familiar with it, you will be directly severed by the passage."
As he spoke, he poked a hole through the leaf, then rubbed it back and forth.
Sometimes the holes aligned, and sometimes they shifted apart.
Seeing Yuki Yuichi looking at the leaf in his hand, Minato Namikaze smiled. He knew Yuichi understood.
