"Killer Queen trial mission complete."
The system notification rang out.
Lin Qing closed his eyes and let out a soft breath.
At last, it was over.
The time kept alternating between 7:30 and 8:29.
The endless scheming and calculations.
Although his body returned to normal the instant he awoke at 7:30, the mental strain had piled up with every loop.
Perhaps because he was trapped in a child's body, Lin Qing felt more exhausted than ever before. All he wanted was to go back and get a good night's sleep.
But he didn't choose to return immediately.
After confirming with the system, Lin Qing learned he could stay in Morioh a little longer.
Since he'd made the trip, there were a few things he wanted to try.
Lin Qing walked over to the elderly Joseph.
After a brief burst of vigor, the old man's eyes had gradually grown hazy again. His windblown hair had slumped back into place, and his body had slowly begun to stoop.
He managed a smile and studied Lin Qing with the wisdom still lingering in his eyes before asking the question that had been weighing on his mind:
"Have we met somewhere before...?"
"I don't think so," Lin Qing answered honestly.
Before coming to Morioh, the only time Lin Qing had met Joseph was during the Star Platinum trial mission.
Joseph had been unconscious then, but perhaps he'd glimpsed Lin Qing through the haze.
"It must be déjà vu. As if we'd fought side by side in another world. So when you told me to get on the motorcycle, I didn't hesitate much."
Jotaro asked suspiciously, "Wasn't it because he called himself 'Caesar' that you followed him?"
Joseph lightly tapped his skull and said indignantly, "I'm not so senile that I'd do that."
