At the edge of the deep crater Mōryō had pounded out.
Kakashi, Konan, Priestess Shion, Naruto, and the others stood guard at the mouth of the hole.
Shion clenched her tiny fists, her palms drenched in cold sweat.
Though she bore the title of priestess and had trained as one since childhood, the Country of Demons was ultimately a small nation.
How could Shion have ever witnessed a battle as terrifying as this?
To her, Lin Qing and Mōryō's battle seemed like the war of gods recorded in ancient texts. The entire city looked as though it would be destroyed by the aftershocks of their clash.
And that was indeed the case. If Lin Qing had not deliberately kept things under control, the shockwaves from Mōryō smashing his way underground, along with the eruption of subterranean magma, would have been enough to destroy this ancient city that had stood for centuries.

Neji rolled his eyes.
"My eyes are Byakugan, not clairvoyance."
"Lord Lin Qing is far deeper than the range I can observe. As for whether we should help..."
Neji did not know much about Lin Qing. All his information came from the casual conversations of his elders.
He looked toward Kakashi.
Kakashi had already dropped his combat stance. His Sharingan had returned to three tomoe, and he had put his forehead protector back on. Sensing Neji's questioning gaze, he said:
"Don't worry."
"In a one-on-one fight, I don't think anyone in this world can defeat Lin Qing."
Just then, the ground trembled slightly. They lay at the edge of the hole and peered downward.
Amid muffled bang—bang—bang sounds,
