Spikes formed from the "unknown."
"So that's how it is, but..."
Lin Qing recalled Itachi Uchiha's death.
"This sharp blade forged from the unknown is truly dripping with irony."
The Great Toad Sage let out a long yawn, opened his teacup, and an exceptionally rich fragrance of tea wafted out. He took a large gulp and said, "So, Ame-no-Futodama-no-Mikoto combined with my precognition might truly allow us to see through the darkness in advance, find its source, and perhaps even discover a way to counter it beforehand."
"But the corresponding price is too great. It isn't worth it."
Lin Qing nodded slightly.
He lowered his head and met Ame-no-Futodama-no-Mikoto's gaze, finally understanding the source of his previous unease.
Thinking about it that way, it only had two uses:
First, it could be used to deduce trivial matters that did not truly matter.
For example, does she like me?
Or, she's different from other women, right?
And so on.
Even if it stirred ripples in the unknown and formed spikes, the spikes would be relatively small. At worst, it would mean everyday bad luck; it would not lead to death.
Second, it could be used to seek a sliver of survival through Ame-no-Futodama-no-Mikoto when one's life was truly at stake and there was no hope ahead.
Though the backlash from the unknown would grow stronger afterward, at least... he would survive for the moment and have the chance to write a will.
"I suddenly have an idea."
Lin Qing rubbed his chin as he considered it.
"What if I implanted Ame-no-Futodama-no-Mikoto into a Hidan clone, used the Yamanaka Clan's secret technique to control the Hidan puppet, and activated its deduction ability?
"Then, without letting the information pass through anyone, directly exported it into a computer... would the unknown's backlash still appear?"
