Stand Arrow.
Just like its name, the arrow was carved with a six-legged, sharp-beaked beetle. Its back also bore shark-fin-like barbs.
In his youth, Diavolo had unearthed six Stand Arrows in total. This was the only one that was especially unique; all the others had hollow indentations inside.
There were two ways to use the Stand Arrow.
The first was to cut one's body with the arrow and awaken a Stand.
In that regard, it was no different from the other five arrows.
Based on analysis of the original work, the Stands awakened by the Stand Arrow roughly included:
Dio's The World.
Father Pucci's Whitesnake.
Additionally, Weather Report had awakened alongside his brother, Father Pucci, so he could also be considered to have awakened through the Stand Arrow.
All three possessed exceptionally powerful Stands.
Of course, a Stand's strength had nothing to do with which arrow had awakened it.
What mattered more was the user's own spiritual will.
Or perhaps it was precisely because their spiritual wills were so powerful that the Stand Arrow found them under the guidance of fate?
Lin Qing did not know.
The other, more widely known use was to pierce a Stand with the Stand Arrow once again, activating an ultimate Stand far beyond ordinary Stands—
Requiem.
Driven by the Stand User's strongest current desire, a Stand pierced by the Stand Arrow would evolve in the direction of that desire and become a Requiem.
Because Requiem Stands contained the Stand User's most intense desires, they usually possessed independent consciousness and could act on their own.
There were also two differing views regarding the use of the Stand Arrow.
As the one who had excavated the Stand Arrow, Diavolo believed that its Requiem ability was "selective." Only those who possessed the qualifications could advance to Requiem.
