Background / History

The Primordial World is an exceptionally ancient and powerful world within Chaos. Its conventional origin is tied to Pangu’s opening of heaven and earth, but later revelations cast doubt on the accepted mythology: Zhi’s knowledge of Pangu suggests that the familiar account of Pangu’s birth and world creation may be incomplete or deliberately altered. 457

Li Mu’s observations during the final catastrophe present its existence as cyclical. A battle between Pangu and Chaos Demon Gods tore apart the old world; after Pangu fell, his body transformed into the land, mountains, rivers, seas, sun, and moon of a newly born world. The new world’s races then fought ferocious beasts, followed by the rise and conflict of the great ancestral races. 500

Before its later destruction, the world was already among the highest-ranking realms in Chaos. Its stability and abundant origin allowed countless races, sacred beings, and cultivators to flourish, while its rigorous laws made it an unparalleled environment for pursuing the Dao of Hunyuan. 396 407

The Primordial World’s origin is extraordinarily abundant. Grass, trees, mountains, and stones can develop intelligence and take form, while its complete laws provide cultivators with a reference for comprehending the Dao of Hunyuan. 407

World Barrier

The Primordial World possesses one of Chaos’s strongest world barriers. Even Hunyuan cultivators cannot easily breach it by force. 423
