Background / History

Maliu first appears aboard World Tree as a Second Lieutenant in the Special Operations Division. She is assigned to support the frontline testing of the Moebius and assists Xu De with his first pre-combat system check, recognizing him despite their brief earlier meeting. 12

She later observes the Ginn-project pilot assessment alongside Admiral Halberton and Colonel Cook while Special Operations personnel record simulator data. Maliu confirms that she was responsible for the Moebius batch Xu De had piloted and becomes increasingly convinced that he has the potential to operate the Alliance’s new Mobile Suits. 32 37

After World Tree, Maliu becomes a central developer for systems intended to make Mobile Suits more manageable for Naturals.
