Surrounded on all sides, Might Duy and Minato Namikaze didn't act rashly. The enemy had them badly outnumbered, and their individual strength was no joke either. A careless attack could easily put them in a deadly situation.
Although the enemy was powerful, Minato hadn't given up hope of surviving.
"I promised Kushina I'd make it back alive."
Minato's expression was cold and his eyes were resolute.
"Die!" Just as Minato was watching his opponents, a shadow suddenly emerged from the ground behind him and quickly took solid form. Holding a kunai, the attacker thrust it straight at Minato's back.
"When did—?"
Minato was startled. The number of enemies before him hadn't changed, and he had no idea when the attacker behind him had appeared. Though he was on guard, he hadn't been prepared for an attack from that direction.
Unable to dodge in time, Minato could only turn enough to protect his vital organs. The kunai still stabbed into his back. Just as the attacker was about to strike again, Duy's knee came flying in and forced him back.
"Minato, are you okay?" Duy steadied the unbalanced Minato with one hand. He glanced anxiously at the kunai in Minato's back, but didn't pull it out.
"Look out!" Before Duy could hear Minato's reply, Minato shoved him away. Duy stumbled back a few steps and saw Minato caught in an explosion.
"Boom!!!"
"Minato!" Might Duy's eyes widened as he watched the flames flare before him.
"You bastards!"
Seeing Minato engulfed by the explosion, Might Duy could no longer control himself. He charged at the Stone Ninja like a madman. But after only two steps, he felt a tight grip around his waist and was forcibly yanked backward.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The very next second after Duy was pulled back, the
