"Why are you guys hiding?"
Uzumaki Kuming spread out the Mind's Eye of the Kagura and sensed the ninjas in the distance through the layers of trees. They were a four-man squad, moving quickly toward Sifang City. Based on their route, they wouldn't cross paths with his squad at all.
"Isn't there an enemy?"
Might Duy poked his head out from a bush and looked up at Kuming in the tree, puzzled.
"Their route won't intersect with ours. We can just keep moving."
Uzumaki Kuming looked at Might Duy helplessly, then glanced toward the spot where Hyuga Hiashi was hiding. It was normal that Might Duy didn't know their route; he had no sensory abilities. But Hiashi, with his Byakugan, couldn't possibly have missed it. Kuming had no idea what Hiashi was up to.
"Is that so!"
"I didn't pay attention to their route. I detected them with my Byakugan just now and told you. I didn't look closely at which way they were going."
Hyuga Hiashi seemed to have confirmed Kuming's words with his Byakugan. Embarrassed, he emerged from his hiding place. Then he glanced at Kuming in puzzlement. He had notified the others as soon as the enemy entered his Byakugan's range, but Kuming had already known their route and that they wouldn't collide with his squad. That meant Uzumaki Kuming had sensed them before his Byakugan did.
And he'd even watched their route for a while.
"Is his sensory range greater than my Byakugan's?"
While Hyuga Hiashi was still wondering, he saw Kuming's expression change in the tree. Then he heard Kuming's voice:
"Prepare for battle. It looks like they've spotted us and changed direction. They're coming our way!"
Kuming swiftly leaped down from the tree and embedded seals into the nearby
