Without warning, Kaoru Hyuga stepped in front of Hizashi Hyuga and slapped him across the face. The sudden turn of events left everyone stunned. Hizashi himself clutched his bright red cheek, utterly at a loss.
"Elder Yan, we'll be heading out now."
Uzumaki Kuming took one look at the scene and realized there was something going on between the two. He promptly informed Mitokado Homura, put his mask back on, waved to his teammates, and hurried out of the tent. Homura watched as Hizashi and Kaoru stared into each other's eyes, then rubbed his forehead and said nothing.
"Get out!"
Perhaps because Mitokado Homura was there, Kaoru Hyuga headed for the tent exit. Hizashi lowered his eyes slightly and followed her. As they stepped outside, Uzumaki Kuming was watching them. When Hizashi emerged, he said:
"We'll wait for you outside the camp. Come find us when you're done."
"Kaoru Hyuga, you'll be under my command from now on. This is a long-term mission, so be ready."
Without waiting for a reply, Uzumaki Kuming headed outside. Before following him, Fugaku gave Hizashi a few playful looks, then chuckled and caught up with Kuming. Might Duy walked over to Hizashi, patted him sympathetically on the shoulder, and followed after Kuming.
After their teammates left, Hizashi opened his mouth as if to say something, but no words came out.
"Don't you have anything to explain to me?"
"You left Konoha without a word. I couldn't find any information about you, no matter whether I asked Lord Nihui or Hiashi."
"Were you planning to never see me again?"
Kaoru Hyuga seemed to have been holding in a great deal of hurt. She suddenly threw herself into Hizashi's arms and pounded his chest with her fists.
