The Lightning Arrows Uzumaki Kuming unleashed struck two Stone Ninja in the heart, piercing straight through their chests. The two lifeless men collapsed to the ground, kicking up clouds of dust.
"Th-they're dead?"
"Is this the strength of the first genius Konoha ever had, the one Father told me about?"
Kakashi Hatake stared blankly at the two Stone Ninja corpses in the distance, one hand over his eye. In that moment, even the pain from his wound seemed to fade. Shock filled Kakashi's heart.
"He took down the Stone Ninja in a single exchange. He's so strong!"
"He's on a completely different level from an ordinary ninja!"
Obito Uchiha gazed at Kuming with burning admiration, but quickly turned his attention to Rin. He rushed to Kuming's side, crouched beside her, and called out anxiously, "Rin, wake up! Rin!"
"She's under a genjutsu. Just break it and she'll be fine."
Kuming gently patted Rin's shoulder and sent Chakra into her body, regulating its flow. Then he went over to Kakashi and crouched in front of him, reaching out to take his wrist.
"Let me take a look at your injury."
When Kuming came over, Kakashi endured the pain and moved his hand away from his eye, revealing the wound.
"You won't be able to save the eye, but the optic nerve is intact. With a suitable replacement, you should be able to recover."
"It's not a big problem. Someone will bring you an eye soon."
After a quick examination, Kuming paid the injury little mind. It wouldn't kill Kakashi, and the two Stone Ninja he had just taken out had probably already sent a distress signal. It wouldn't be long before more Stone Ninja arrived. Then Kakashi would have plenty of eyes to choose from.
