Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi's latest orders reached the Uchiha Clan at the same time. Without a second thought, Uchiha Fugaku personally selected ten elite members of the clan and hurried to Uzumaki Kuming's residence.
Fugaku had chosen ten Uchiha Clan members, making eleven people including himself. That was more than the Third Hokage's orders called for, but the guards at the village gates didn't say anything when they saw this. They simply let them through.
When Uchiha Fugaku and his men arrived at Uzumaki Kuming's house, they found Kuming just about to leave. Judging by his expression, he already knew Fugaku and the others were coming.
"Kuming, I've brought the men. Shall we head out now?"
Uchiha Fugaku landed lightly in front of Kuming and asked.
"There's no need to rush. Let's get acquainted first."
"If this mission goes smoothly, that's one thing. But if we run into a fight, the enemy we'll be facing will be no ordinary opponent."
"Introduce me to your clan members first."
Uzumaki Kuming looked past Fugaku. The men he'd brought were all young, between twenty and thirty. Each had a powerful presence, and they stood silently behind Fugaku, sizing up Kuming, their squad leader.
"Sure. The clansmen behind me are all Jonin from the Uchiha Clan. Because of their duties, they've spent these past few years carrying out missions in the village as part of the Military Police Force."
"Though they've hardly ever left the village on missions, they're all exceptionally capable."
"They've all awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan!"
Fugaku didn't waste time introducing each man individually. He simply told Kuming that his clansmen had all awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.
Kuming immediately understood what Fugaku meant. He looked over the men and nodded to himself.
