"Orochimaru, Danzo suddenly turned on Teacher Sarutobi. Did you know this was going to happen?"
The people in the tavern had been silent for a long time when Jiraiya finally spoke. At the funeral earlier, he had overheard the conversation between Jiuming and Orochimaru.
"Heh heh heh. How could I possibly know about something like that?"
"Jiraiya, don't overthink it."

Orochimaru had known all along what Jiraiya was thinking. He said this because he didn't want Jiraiya talking about such things over dinner, and pretended to get up to leave. Just as expected, when Jiraiya saw him getting ready to go, he hurried over and put both hands on Orochimaru's shoulders.
"Wait, we're just here to eat today. It's been ages since we've all gotten together!"
Jiraiya smiled, called over a waiter, and ordered a few things. Then he sat beside Orochimaru, rolled his eyes, and asked Jiuming:
"Hey, kid, do you want to be Hokage?"
"If you do, I'll support you. How about that?"
Uzumaki Jiuming glanced sideways at Jiraiya. The man's probing was so clumsy that Jiuming barely felt like responding. He gave Jiraiya a look, then sat down without a word and turned toward his sister. Kushina and Minato were sitting together, heads bowed as they chatted quietly.
From the smiles on their faces, Jiuming could tell that Kushina and Minato really did have a good relationship.
Seeing that Jiuming wasn't going to answer, Jiraiya followed his gaze and spotted Minato and Kushina talking softly. A lecherous smile spread across his face as he slung an arm around Jiuming's shoulders and whispered:
