The Nine-Tails looked at the young man who had suddenly appeared before him, a smile spreading across his fox-like face.
"Not dead? I'm not dead!" Uzumaki Kuming clenched his fist, looking both relieved and uncertain. Seeing him like that, the Nine-Tails pursed his lips in annoyance and mocked him:
"Don't get too excited. You may not be dead yet, but give it a little while and that could change."
"You're badly injured. You were already on the verge of death, and Medical Ninjutsu can only do so much for you."
"And you're an Uzumaki. Your clan's healing ability won't do you much good, either. At this rate, you'll be dead soon!"
The Nine-Tails' words poured over Uzumaki Kuming like a bucket of cold water, sobering him up from his initial excitement.
"My clan's healing ability? You mean Karin Uzumaki? Her Chakra won't work on me?" Uzumaki Kuming mulled over the Nine-Tails' words. After a long moment, he looked toward the beast in the cage and smiled. "Since you're telling me all this, does that mean you have a way to help?"
