As Konoha began investigating the Daimyo Mansion, the strange and unsettling place officially caught the attention of the Konoha High Command.
Early the next morning, Uzumaki Kuming issued a secret order, recalling all of Kun's personnel to the village. He had only just arrived at the school office when Minato Namikaze summoned him to the Hokage's office. There was another urgent matter they needed to discuss.
When Uzumaki Kuming arrived, he found that someone had already reached Minato's office before him.
"Teacher Sarutobi, I didn't expect you to be here, too."
"Minato, has something else happened?"
Uzumaki Kuming walked into the office and saw Hiruzen Sarutobi sitting on the sofa. After exchanging a brief greeting, he sat down beside him. Hiruzen's brow was deeply furrowed, and he looked preoccupied, staring into space. He didn't even react when Kuming greeted him.
At Kuming's question, Hiruzen's unfocused eyes came back into focus. He rubbed his cheek lightly, then looked toward Minato.
Minato noticed Hiruzen's gaze and let out a quiet sigh before explaining:
"The Third wants to lead the mission to the Daimyo Mansion himself."
"It's a serious matter, so I called you here to discuss it together."
As Minato spoke, he quickly exchanged a glance with Nara Shikaku beside him. He and Shikaku had both seen Hiruzen in the office first thing that morning. Even then, he had looked troubled.
The old man had immediately insisted on leading the mission to the Daimyo Mansion himself. Even without Hiruzen saying so, Minato and Shikaku guessed that something might have happened to Asuma Sarutobi, throwing the Third into disarray.
Minato couldn't decide right away whether to send a former Hokage into danger, so he had called Uzumaki Kuming in to discuss it with them.
From the intelligence they had gathered about Wufang City
