"Is this guy the enemy?"
Obito Uchiha's words put Sasori on high alert, and he immediately waved his hands repeatedly. The other party was from Konoha's Uchiha clan; merely sensing their presence put immense pressure on Sasori. If they mistook him for an enemy, he might truly die here.
"No, I'm from Sunagakure. The enemy is a ninja from Akatsuki."
Sasori pointed at Chiyo and Kankuro, whom he had just dragged out of the cave, and explained. Hearing this, Obito's expression eased somewhat. Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha exchanged a glance, looked at Sasori, and said nothing. However, Sasori read something from their eyes—the two more handsome Uchiha seemed to have recognized him.
"Someone's coming!"
Just as Obito Uchiha was about to continue questioning him, Itachi Uchiha swiftly turned his head and warned them. Not long after he spoke, Deva Path Pain descended from the sky, a comatose boy clutched in his hand. It was Gaara, who had already been forced back into his original body. Gaara hung his head, and the wounds on his body seemed to have split open, blood still flowing from them.
He looked utterly miserable.
"Rinnegan!"
Itachi Uchiha and Shisui Uchiha both muttered in surprise. Then they looked at each other, their eyes filled with shock. The moment Obito Uchiha saw the newcomer, he pulled the short blade from his back and gripped it tightly.
Before Itachi and Shisui could speak, Obito Uchiha let out an angry roar and lunged at Deva Path Pain. "Akatsuki! You dared to plot against Rin—I won't let you off!"
Obito Uchiha was now a Jonin of Konoha, and he had awakened the three-tomoe Sharingan. Whether among the village's upper ranks or within the Uchiha clan, he was someone of standing. As such, he knew something about the Akatsuki organization.
