Background / History

Xun'er is Gu Yuan's daughter and the young lady of the Gu Clan. Before studying at Jia Nan Academy, she lived in Wutan City among the Xiao Family. Her isolated life there left her outwardly tranquil but deeply bored, motivating her to investigate unusual events for diversion 55 60 99.

She first encountered Ji Changqing in Wutan City. After the Jia Lie Family was reduced to ashes shortly after Jia Lie Bi provoked him, Xun'er investigated the incident through lingering Heavenly Flame traces, Gu Clan intelligence, and portraits of Misty Cloud Sect figures. She identified the green-robed youth from that day as the Misty Cloud Sect's Holy Son 4 55.

Jia Nan Academy

Xun'er waits for the Misty Cloud Sect's Space Wormhole to arrive, scrutinizes Ji Changqing upon his entrance to the academy, and directly interrogates him about the Jia Lie Family. Her investigation becomes a personal rivalry after she transfers into the Inner Academy and moves into the courtyard next to his 56 59 65.

Their rivalry escalates when she exposes her high-level Dou Ling cultivation to test him. After Ji Changqing bites her forehead during their confrontation, he compensates her with cultivation time in the Heavenly Flame Qi Refining Tower; they subsequently train on its fourth floor together 73 76.

Relationship with Ji Changqing

Xun'er grows attached to Ji Changqing despite his repeated attempts to avoid her. Following a dangerous test involving Han Feng, she tearfully apologizes and confirms her feelings by refusing to let him leave her 96 97.

When Gu Clan envoys arrive to take her home, she gives Ji Changqing a Dou Technique scroll and protects him from Ling Quan. She declares that she will return for her Bloodline Awakening in due time, but will not be forced to leave Ji Changqing 100 102.
