Chen Beixun also took Li Di's advice and headed to Base 21.
Base 21 was bustling with people, unusually lively.
Chen Beixun moved forward with the crowd, keeping a low profile. He had just left the Lotte Family's residence, and had repeatedly changed routes along the way. Only after confirming several times that nobody was following him did he finally relax. Why? Just a habit.
"Two more days." Chen Beixun touched the World Ring on his hand.
Suddenly, he felt an intense pressure.
"So strong!" Chen Beixun darted out of the crowd and found a relatively open spot. He kept walking, making it look as if he were simply changing routes like anyone else, while scanning his surroundings for the source.
The crowd on the road split into two streams, opening up an oval space in the middle. Three people stood there: two men and a woman. Two burly men walked in front and behind the graceful woman. She wore a metal helmet, so it was impossible to tell what she looked like.
"That woman is from the Kekumeng Race. They reach Universe Level upon adulthood." Qishan suddenly appeared and spoke to Chen Beixun.
"The Kekumeng Race?" Chen Beixun's gaze remained calm and indifferent. Then he said, "Looks like she's here to seize the treasure too."
"Doesn't seem like it," Qishan said after observing them.
Chen Beixun quickened his pace, puzzled, but said nothing. He waited for Qishan to continue.
"She looks like she's just entered the world, and she's still got an air of arrogance about her."
"There's an eighty percent chance she's had a falling-out with her family."
"Oh?" Chen Beixun smiled faintly. "A falling-out?"
"That means one less terrifying potential enemy."
As he spoke, Chen Beixun couldn't help glancing back. Then he quickly left. He didn't want to get caught up in any trouble.
"The men are Universe Level 9, and the woman is Universe Level 2."
"She dares come here at Level 2?"
"Does she have some special advantage?" Chen Beixun narrowed his eyes slightly. He felt that the woman must have quite a few treasures on her.
But a feeling was just a feeling. You had to stay alive to make use of them! Who would dare covet anything when two incredibly powerful Universe-level experts were at her side?
"Pavadode and Jistone."
Chen Beixun frowned and asked in confusion, "What?"
"Are they the woman's bodyguards?"
"Yes," Qishan replied. "Both of them once sold themselves to the Giant Axe Martial Arena to fight life-or-death battles!"
"That was thirty thousand years ago."
Chen Beixun said nothing. He understood just how impressive that was. They had to win a thousand consecutive matches to regain their freedom!
Universe-level experts who made it out had a fifty percent chance of breaking through to World Lord!
"I feel like those two have already reached the threshold. It seems they're holding back and deliberately refusing to break through."
Chen Beixun had reached the spaceship. He glanced back and spoke.
Their intentions were obvious. Chen Beixun understood.
The World Lord World didn't allow anyone above Universe Level to enter, but if they broke through once inside, there was nothing anyone could do about it.
"Having two powerful experts serve as bodyguards just like that is terrifying!"
"Hopefully we won't run into them."
Chen Beixun pressed his lips together and strode into the spaceship.
"Your Highness!" The guards aboard the spaceship called out in unison. Chen Beixun couldn't help but startle, then said, "Don't jump out at me like that."
"Yes!" the guards replied in unison.
"Ah, this is the first time anyone's called me 'Your Highness'!" Chen Beixun thought to himself.
Time passed... The day the World Lord World opened finally arrived.
On a blue satellite called JI544, outside the JIWNF orbital ring.
Five Undying stood in the air.
"The time has come!"
"Everyone!"
The five Undying took positions at the points of a pentagram and joined forces to open the World Lord World.
Space shattered inch by inch, forming a black rift 120 meters long and 25 meters wide. It looked as if the rift had been pasted onto the air. From either side, it appeared to be a flat plane, its thickness infinitely close to zero.
From a distance, it looked completely fake—like a cheap special effect from a movie.
News that the World Lord World had opened spread rapidly.
"Damn, weren't they saying it would open in five Tianchen Hours?"
"Where'd that bogus news come from?"
Chen Beixun had already set out and was now racing toward it.
"An E-class spaceship?" Chen Beixun exclaimed as he watched a spaceship streak past in the distance. He had been with Qishan for so long that he knew a thing or two about spaceships.
"Chunqiu, did you send the map to the Lotte Family?" Chen Beixun asked.
"Boss, I've sent it," Chunqiu replied.
The blue satellite JI544.
"Heh, which family's young lady has run away from home this time?" an Undying with boar tusks and a two-meter-tall frame said with a laugh. The Undying's divine abilities were astonishing. From far away, he had already sensed the E-class spaceship and the situation inside it.
"She seems to be Yan Ju's daughter," said an Undying from the Giant Axe Martial Arena.
"Let her be. Yan Ju asked me to keep an eye on her," said an Undying from the Universe Mercenary Alliance.
"She ought to be taught a lesson."
"All right, everyone," said an exceedingly sinister-looking Undying. "It's time for me to get to work."
The other Undying laughed at that, then each went their separate ways.
After the others left, the sinister-looking Undying used his telekinetic power to cover the entire planet. This was to prevent any World Lords from sneaking in. They would also have to inspect the World Rings afterward.
Suddenly—
"Hm?" The sinister Undying's eyes flashed. Then he smiled and thought, "So you're Chen Beixun?"
A D9-class Spaceship was in flight. It had now entered the atmosphere of the satellite JI544 and was slowly decelerating in preparation for landing.
Rumble—
The spaceship generated a blast of air, whipping up dust that surged in all directions like a yellow curtain.
Of course, it had landed in a relatively remote spot. Otherwise, it would have angered the others, and being mobbed inside the World Lord World would have been bad. Chen Beixun had witnessed exactly that two hundred years ago.
Once the spaceship had come to a stop, Chen Beixun stepped out of the hatch, eager to get going.
"Weren't you scared?" Qishan asked with a laugh.
"Not really. There's no escaping it anyway, so I might as well face it bravely," Chen Beixun replied. Then he strode forward, remembering to put the spaceship into his World Ring as he went. Three guards followed behind him. The rest were inside the World Ring. Qishan had personally selected the three who accompanied him, so they were naturally powerful!
In the distance—
"Go on through." The sinister Undying tossed the World Ring to a Universe-level expert.
"Let's go, brothers!" the Universe-level expert called out. His gaze couldn't help drifting toward the Kekumeng woman waiting in line nearby.
The guard beside the Kekumeng woman immediately took offense and shouted, "What the hell are you staring at?"
The Universe-level expert sneered, turned around, and rested a hand on the shoulder of the companion beside him. It was to keep them from getting separated after entering the World Lord World.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Several figures vanished the instant they stepped into the rift.
Chen Beixun waited quietly near the middle of the line. One moment after another passed, and at last his turn came.
"World Ring!" the sinister Undying said in a deep voice.
Chen Beixun handed it over.
"Go!" The sinister Undying gave it a quick glance.
Chen Beixun walked up to the rift and put his hands on the shoulders of the guards on either side. The four of them entered side by side.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
After a dizzying whirl, as if the world had turned upside down—
They appeared beneath a dark purple sky, falling at tremendous speed.
Stop!
Chen Beixun halted in midair in an instant and swept his gaze around.
Countless rocks floated in the air as if they had lost their gravity. Unfamiliar purple crystals were exposed across their surfaces.
The ground below was dark purple as well. A closer look revealed that the ground and sky were identical! The ground reflected the sky like a mirror. To be precise, the sky was also the ground: one could land above or below.
The floating rocks were held between two opposing gravitational forces, like a boundary line dividing two worlds.
