As they passed by a cemetery, Terri, who had been feeling stifled the whole time, lowered her DV camera and said angrily, "Aren't they afraid the truth will be exposed? How could they..."

Then came a sound like a fabric shredder. Countless bullets poured down on them, striking the abandoned vehicle again and again and throwing up showers of sparks in the darkness. Peyton, unable to get out of the way in time, was riddled with bullets.

Jill cried out in agony from behind Ren Ze.

Forcing herself to turn away from Peyton's body, Jill finally had the chance to see who was attacking them.

Jill was not the only one watching. At Umbrella Corporation, a young executive watched the nimble Ren Ze on the overpass through a laptop screen.

A trace of interest appeared in the young Umbrella executive's eyes.

"Interesting. This must be Ren Ze, the mysterious figure James's team mentioned—the one who suddenly appeared. I didn't expect Alice to be with him again."

As he spoke, excitement flashed in the young executive's eyes. "Everyone, the moment we've been waiting for has arrived!"

"Record this. The current time is 2:18:27 a.m. Confirmed: the Nemesis Program is now fully activated. Capture Ren Ze alive at any cost!"

"Yes!"

Upon hearing his superior's command, the person operating the computer issued Nemesis its mission.
