Seeing the tree demon pounce upon all of Lanruo Temple while Yan Chixia, outside the temple, showed no response, Ren Ze did not dare risk himself. With a quick sidestep, he evaded the demon's branches and headed straight toward Yan Chixia.
"Senior, what's going on with you?!"
Ren Ze found Yan Chixia through his senses, only to see him tightly bound to a tree by branches and vines. It had to be said, the tree spirit's binding technique had some real skill to it...
"I let my guard down and got ambushed by that old demon. Hurry and help me get free!"
Yan Chixia had been worrying over his inability to escape. The sight of Ren Ze filled him with delight, and he shouted for help.

"It's useless. These aren't ordinary vines—they already count as an incarnation of the tree demon. Pull out my sword and use that to cut them!"
Seeing Ren Ze unleash a flurry of fierce moves to no effect, Yan Chixia quickly reminded him.
