A few days later, in the primitive mountain range.
Wisps of mist rose up, blurring the scenery in the mountains as if everything were shrouded in chaos. The roars of prehistoric beasts suddenly ceased, replaced by a deathly silence.
A colossal figure emerged, wreathed in thick fog. Its true form was obscured, yet the intimidating aura it radiated shook both heaven and earth. The surrounding mountains and ravines trembled, and all birds and beasts prostrated themselves on the ground, shivering and kowtowing in that direction.
It stood tall, reaching into the clouds, its height unknown. A pair of emerald eyes, each several miles in diameter, were embedded in the firmament like two lakes. Such eyes were terrifyingly vast, and the killing intent they exuded was heaven-shaking!
It was hard to imagine what kind of creature this was. Its body was of such immense and majestic proportions that if word reached the outside world, it would surely shock all directions.
"This sacred object is Mine." It spoke in a low voice, as dull and heavy as a thunderclap, shaking the mountains until they were on the verge of collapse. In the distance, countless fierce birds and beasts trembled.
"Boom!"
The response was a massive iron rod, thick as a pillar supporting the heavens, sweeping across. Gale winds howled, rocks flew, and clouds surged.
This strike was like the end of the world; it seemed to have pierced the very sky!
"Awoo..."
With a dull roar, an aura of fierce Sha Qi swept through the nine heavens. The colossal figure thrust out a giant claw, vast enough to cover several mountain ridges, its edges shimmering with cold, razor-sharp light.
"Clang!"
The giant claw collided with the iron rod above the clouds. The sky seemed to be torn apart; clouds dissipated, various rays of light erupted, and supreme precious techniques exploded, drowning the world.
"Swoosh," "swoosh"...
In the sky, piece after piece of strange bone fell. Some were crimson like blood diamonds, some pitch-black as ink, and others crystalline white. All radiated precious light; they were all extraordinary treasure bones.
If the human experts outside the mountain range saw this, their eyes would turn red. These were all shed from Taigu Remnants, and there were over a dozen of them—what an astonishing treasure trove this was!
These treasure bones, condensed with primitive runes, flew down and scattered across the vast Vast Mountain Range, stabilizing the mountains and rivers. When the gale winds from the high heavens swept down again, they could no longer destroy the mountains.
The beast, whose massive body towered above the clouds, looked down with its emerald, lake-like eyes and spoke coldly: "Womanly benevolence!"
"Boom!"
It opened its mouth and spat out a terrifying beam of light that swept across heaven and earth. Had the treasure bones not stabilized the Vast Mountain Range, it would have surely resulted in a massacre. It scattered the clouds, and the brilliant divine light slashed forward—this was a supreme precious technique!
"Boom!"
The response was the iron rod, which struck the brilliant technique, erupting with the sounds of the Great Dao. Furthermore, a supreme primitive rune appeared, clanging loudly, causing the rod to emit boundless light. It was covered in dense, intricate characters, and once empowered, the rod's divine might surged.
This was a fierce battle, with two unimaginable existences deploying primitive treasure runes to stabilize the mountains and rivers while they fought.
"You and that Little Red Bird are both heavily injured; retreating is your only choice!" the terrifying existence with emerald eyes said, its voice icy and its killing intent laid bare.
The great battle continued!
"Boom!"
Suddenly, in another direction deep within the mountain range, flames soared to the heavens. A Little Red Bird appeared and engaged in a world-shaking battle with another terrifying creature.
"I did not expect you to still be alive in this world."
"Roar..."
A total of four supreme creatures were fighting. Their level of terror was beyond imagination; even powerful remnants like the Demon Ape and the Li Fire Bull Demon were trembling, hiding in the distance, not daring to move.
Divine light pierced the sky in the Vast Mountain Range, and chaotic energy surged. Even with the dozen treasure bones suppressing the terrain, the mountain range shook violently.
It was the impact of peerless precious techniques, causing both heaven and earth to shudder.
In Little Lone Mountain Town, everyone's hair stood on end, and they looked at each other in horror. At this moment, their souls were palpitating, and many fell to their knees with a thud.
Everyone was trembling uncontrollably; it was a supreme pressure that made them unable to resist the urge to kowtow and worship.
What kind of terrifying creatures were these? Everyone felt a chill from head to toe. Some thought of how their tribes had once wanted to explore the mountains for treasure—they had truly been tired of living, and it was fortunate they had retreated in the end!
Run!
This was the thought in everyone's mind. In this savage and bitter land, staying for even a moment longer increased the danger; one wrong move and there would be nothing left of them.
Panic spread through Little Lone Mountain Town. Major tribes and experts from all over began to flee, rushing toward the edge of the land at top speed, unwilling to stay for even a moment longer.
"Boom!"
Suddenly, a heaven-shaking sound erupted from the center of the Vast Mountain Range. Rocks flew into the sky as the earth itself cracked open, and chaotic energy spread, sweeping across the entire mountain range.
There, immortal light shot into the heavens and auspicious energy surged, as if one had arrived at the time before the world was created. It was as if a chaotic treasure had been born, rising and falling, shaking the entire Great Wilderness.
"The Mountain Treasure has appeared!"
At this moment, no one needed to say it; everyone knew that the sacred object had finally seen the light of day again.
With a "humming" sound, the depths of the mountain range boiled. The battle intensified as the four unimaginable, terrifying creatures engaged in a life-and-death struggle to seize the newly unearthed Mountain Treasure.
"Roar..." A roar shook the eight wildernesses. Even at the outermost edge of the Vast Mountain Range, the massive sound could be heard. The fleeing experts felt their bodies go limp, and many collapsed to the ground.
As for their mounts, they were already beyond control, shaking like chaff, prostrate on the ground, shivering incessantly. They were so terrified they dared not lift their heads, continuously kowtowing toward the direction of the Great Wilderness.
In the deepest part of the mountain range, the terrifying aura was world-shaking. The four creatures were locked in a fierce battle, as if they had returned to the dawn of creation. One moment, Li Fire surged to the heavens; the next, black clouds obscured the sun; then, the iron rod swept across the sky...
This was a world-shaking battle. If not for the dozen treasure bones suppressing this vast mountain range and stabilizing the mountains and rivers, it was hard to imagine what state it would have been reduced to.
Within the chaotic mist, a bird's cry pierced the nine heavens. The fiery red bird shrieked in anger, fighting fiercely against its opponent, whipping up towering crimson flames that burned and collapsed half the firmament, the heat unbearable.
"Roar..."
With a roar that shook the heavens and the earth, its opponent surged with the power to swallow mountains and rivers, possessing an aura of imperial dominance. It erupted with sky-piercing rays of light, suppressing the heavenly fire with a supreme precious technique.
If anyone were here, they would surely be dumbstruck. The Little Red Bird's opponent was a giant avian, yet the sound it emitted was like the roar of a beast, shaking the mountains and rivers so violently that they would have surely collapsed had it not been for the primitive precious bones suppressing the range.
"Boom!"
Giant wings swept across the sky, covering the firmament like a dark cloud and dimming the crimson fire. A pair of massive talons reached down, clawing toward the Little Red Bird.
This fierce avian was gargantuan, filling the entire sky. A single wing passing by felt like a hundred thousand mountains pressing down, and its monstrous, baleful aura made one's very soul tremble.
"Chirp!"
With a sharp, piercing cry, the fiery red bird shot upward. Though small in stature, its momentum was unparalleled. It collided with the giant talons, producing a metallic clanging sound as sparks flew in every direction.
The two engaged in a fierce struggle. The massive avian blotted out the sky, its body wreathed in thick black mist, making its true form impossible to discern. From a great distance, one could only see its blood-red eyes, enormous and terrifying, like two blood moons hanging in the firmament.
"Boom!"
The giant avian was truly boundless. With a single spread of its wings, it soared upward, as if the sky of the Vast Mountain Range could no longer contain it. Its attack power was peerless, each beat of its wings causing the world to rumble.
The Little Red Bird was struggling, for it was already wounded, having engaged in a long and grueling battle against the creature wielding the iron rod, which had ended in a mutual defeat.
"Whoosh," "Whoosh"...
Crimson rays of light sliced through the clouds. The Little Red Bird's entire body shimmered with densely interwoven runes. It opened its beak, which shone like a red diamond, and spat out streaks of blazing light that whistled through the air.
This was a fierce and peerless supreme precious technique. The rays of light transformed into translucent crimson immortal swords, sharp beyond measure and wreathed in raging fire, slashing toward the giant avian.
"Roar..."
The massive, cloud-like avian let out a beast-like howl, sensing the immense danger approaching. It beat its wings against the sky and instantly vanished into the blue void.
At the same time, black clouds churned. After the avian fled into the depths of the firmament, its iron feathers stood on end, runes flickering. It covered the entire world, raining down endless black light upon the earth below.
"Clang," "Clang"...
The sky erupted with sheets of divine radiance. The black light collided with the crimson divine swords, clanging like a catastrophic collision of comets beyond the heavens, terrifying the Great Wilderness.
"Wooo..."
On the other side, gale winds whistled, shattering the clouds. The massive iron rod swept across the world, held in a pair of hairy, giant hands. It was locked in a white-hot battle with the creature that stood tall enough to touch the heavens. Each collision between them felt like the creation of the world, with chaotic energy diffusing outward.
Rays of light overflowed and auspicious energy swirled as the unearthed artifact floated in the air. The four creatures did not immediately seize it, choosing instead to confront their respective opponents.
With these four creatures present, no other beings dared to approach. Even ancient remnants like the Demon Ape and the Li Fire Bull Demon could only tremble in fear, hiding far away and not daring to draw near.
The battle grew increasingly intense. The four unimaginable, supreme existences fought with reckless abandon, their fierce struggle unleashing a terrifying aura that surged toward the eight wildernesses, causing all living things to tremble in fear.
With a "hum," the world shook violently. A terrifying, massive claw swept across the sky, striking at the Little Red Bird. Divine light surged like crashing waves, vast and boundless. This was a sneak attack; the creature that stood tall, piercing into the clouds, had eyes of a ghostly green. It suddenly launched its assault, abandoning its opponent with the iron rod to strike at the Little Red Bird.
The fiery red bird shrieked in rage, flapping its wings violently to form a wild, rapidly spinning crimson tornado that tore through the heavens. Inside, the firelight was fearsome, attempting to drag the giant claw into its vortex.
At the same time, the giant avian on the opposite side dove down, passing by and attacking the creature holding the iron rod, which was hidden within the chaotic mist. It spanned the horizon, more vast than a dark cloud, and emitted a sky-covering black mist. Its eyes, like blood moons, shot out two blood-red spears as thick as mountains, flying toward the front.
"Boom!"
The world shuddered and swayed violently. In the blink of an eye, the four creatures had switched opponents, launching sneak attacks and engaging in a life-or-death struggle.
The mountain range was vast and magnificent, with tens of thousands of towering peaks standing side by side. Sheets of blazing runes lit up—some crimson as blood, some black as ink, others white and translucent—blooming across the world. It was the primitive precious bones of the ancient remnants that were at work, suppressing the entire landscape; otherwise, under such a battle, even the mere shockwaves diving down from the sky would have been a catastrophe.
On the distant outskirts of the mountain range, the various experts endured the fear that stemmed from their very souls, stumbling and fleeing for their lives. This region was too terrifying. It was hard to imagine what kind of creatures these were; the mere aura they emitted made them collapse to the ground, unable to stop themselves from bowing in worship, their hearts filled with horror.
At this very moment, they wished they could immediately escape into the legendary ancient kingdoms to avoid the disaster!
In Stone Village, the willow tree stood tall, its tender branches swaying. Although the villagers felt a constant sense of dread, they did not tremble to their very souls like the experts outside, clearly protected by the tree.
"There is a battle in the mountains. I truly wonder what kind of holy object it is to cause such intensity."
"I have a feeling a mysterious power is locking down the mountains; otherwise, this land for fifty thousand li around would likely face a total calamity."
Shi Feijiao and Shi Linhu whispered to each other, both filled with anxiety, not knowing how long this disaster would last or how terrifying it would become.
Deep within the Vast Mountain Range, a white, translucent holy object darted back and forth between the four creatures. They fought on without pause, occasionally reaching out with massive claws to snatch the sacred item.
"Boom!"
Chaotic energy surged. The white, glowing divine object was struck and sent flying into the distance, actually piercing through the runes densely packed across the mountains. The dozen or so primitive precious bones could no longer lock this place down.
"Boom!"
A massive beastly foot stepped out. Standing upright, its entire body wreathed in mist, the creature with ghostly green eyes scanned the surroundings and said, "This holy object is of great importance. The fewer who know of it, the better!"
"Then let us kill them all. Starting with the human race, we shall wipe out every race and creature on this land that cannot keep its mouth shut." The fierce avian echoed its agreement. It also surged out, shrouded in chaotic mist. As it spread its wings, it blotted out the sky, covering the endless mountain range below. It was gargantuan, and its blood-moon eyes were filled with shocking baleful energy.
With a "thud," an iron rod thrust out, as massive as a mountain ridge and filled with majestic power. Held in a pair of hairy, giant hands, this creature was also shrouded in mist. As it swung the iron rod, it displayed a world-shaking divine might!
Next came the Little Red Bird, rushing out with fire filling the sky.
The four creatures, each possessing unimaginable divine might, roared as they fought, shaking the boundless land. The primitive precious bones were no longer able to have any effect.
"All living things, heed my command: go and trample this land!" Within the mist, the ghostly green eyes grew colder. The terrifying creature that towered into the clouds issued its order.
"Go, sweep away all who stand in your way!" The fierce avian no longer let out beastly roars, beginning to speak in human tongue. Its voice rumbled as it issued its own command, its blood-moon eyes chillingly terrifying.
Chaotic energy permeated the air, and the glowing white holy object floated, about to fall into the hands of the creature holding the iron rod. The other three terrifying existences let out howls and charged forward in pursuit.
This Great Wilderness was vast and boundless, with towering mountains one after another. The forests were dense, ancient beasts roared, and fierce birds struck the sky. The land was in total chaos! "Moo..."
A wild ox roared, its voice carrying for over a hundred li. Li fire soared into the sky as a giant ox, red as blood, over ten meters tall and thirty meters long, charged out from a split mountain, wreathed in magma and wrapped in firelight.
It was indeed the Li Fire Bull Demon, a creature that had once battled the Golden Suanni and lost one of its great, fiery-red horns. Having existed for an age and struck terror into the Great Wilderness, even the elders of Stone Village had grown up listening to its legends. Its four hooves trod upon flames, and its entire body was bathed in firelight; its red fur, resembling satin, shimmered with a crimson glow as it charged toward the distance.
Behind it followed an endless tide of ferocious beasts, dense and swarming. They were all exotic species, bypassing the magma and raging fires to surge out of the Vast Mountain Range alongside it, slaughtering their way into the lands beyond.
"Ah... no!"
In a village of several hundred households, everyone was gripped by terror. With so many beasts stampeding toward them, the leading Li Fire Bull Demon was far more powerful than their own Sacrificial Spirit; how could they possibly resist?
The village's Sacrificial Spirit sensed the impending doom and immediately abandoned the place, fleeing for its life without daring to put up a fight. In the end, it even merged into the beast tide, becoming one of them.
It was a tragedy. The Li Fire Bull Demon charged through, and not to mention the local Sacrificial Spirit, even the guardian of a large tribe would have been no match for it. Nothing could halt its advance; stone houses and altars were plucked up and smashed by its single, massive crimson horn, ruthlessly crushed beneath its weight.
Dust and smoke billowed into the sky as it charged toward the far reaches of the horizon.
Behind it, the mountains and plains were covered in beasts baring fangs and claws, pouncing and tearing. The villagers fought to the death, but they appeared insignificant amidst this flood of monsters. The sounds of "puchi, puchi" were incessant as sharp claws and snow-white teeth harvested life after life.
It was a human tragedy. In the blink of an eye, the village was swallowed by the beast tide, and the entire settlement was mourned; not a single soul survived.
The same scene played out in other regions. In just a short moment, seven or eight villages on the outskirts of the Vast Mountain Range were razed to the ground, leaving behind vast swathes of blood.
Deep within the mountains, those two terrifying existences had issued their commands. All manner of fierce birds and savage beasts dared not disobey, rushing out of the Great Wilderness in droves to bathe the land in blood.
In truth, some of the fierce birds and beasts were held back; the small red bird and the creature wielding the iron rod had shouted to stop them, otherwise, the carnage would have been even greater.
At Little Lone Mountain Town, a Golden-Haired Lion charged in. Its fur was sleek and oily, flowing with golden radiance from head to toe. It walked upright, standing twenty meters tall, with a large horn on its forehead that crackled with electricity. Its eyes were blood-red as it stormed into the town.
"Heavens, it's that Golden-Haired Lion!" the townspeople cried in fear. This was an ancient beast; many elders had heard legends of it in this Great Wilderness, but no one had expected it to arrive here.
"Run!"
No one dared to resist. This archaic descendant was extremely terrifying. As soon as it entered the town, it swung a paw, instantly crushing seven or eight people on the street into a bloody pulp. It then slammed another claw down, causing several stone houses to collapse and burying a dozen people under giant boulders.
Little Lone Mountain Town fell into chaos. People fled in all directions, only to discover with horror that the town was surrounded by beasts. There was no escape; the beast tide had arrived and swallowed the town whole.
"Oh Heavens, why do you punish us so?" a white-haired elder roared at the sky.
"Papa, save me!" a child cried out in terror.
Little Lone Mountain Town was plunged into panic. The apocalypse had arrived, and everyone was fleeing for their lives, only to find no path forward. People screamed in despair.
"Old Golden-Haired Lion, I'll fight you to the death!" The town's greatest warrior, a burly middle-aged man, lunged at the beast king, brandishing a broadsword half a person tall, his hair and beard bristling, his body glowing with power.
"Puchi!"
Regrettably, he was far from a match for this archaic descendant. With just a single swipe of its claw, it tore both him and his sword into two pieces, sending blood spraying high into the air.
"Dong."
In the center of the town, the low stone hill shook violently. A massive boulder erupted from within, its entire body radiating a soft glow and covered in dense runes, charging forward with lightning speed.
"Dang!"
The Golden-Haired Lion swung its sharp claw and slapped it with a "pa" sound. Sparks flew in all directions, and the boulder went tumbling away.
"Roar..."
The beast tide engulfed Little Lone Mountain Town. A group of ferocious beasts rushed forward, biting and clawing at the rune-covered boulder with a metallic clanging sound, sending stone chips flying. The boulder glowed, unleashing a massive force as it rammed repeatedly. "Puchi, puchi" sounds echoed as a wave of beasts was instantly crushed into meat paste, blood splattering everywhere.
The Golden-Haired Lion let out a roar that made the entire town tremble. The large horn on its head emitted a brilliant beam of light, and a bolt of lightning struck the boulder, causing it to crack with a "kacha" sound.
"You are so savage, bathing the land in blood—do you not fear retribution? I am a descendant of the Mountain God!" The boulder glowed, transmitting a wave of divine intent.
"Go tell that to the existences in the mountains!" The Golden-Haired Lion also emitted a wave of divine intent, opening its blood-red maw to spew an even more dazzling bolt of lightning before pouncing upon it.
"Kacha."
Though the Sacrificial Spirit of Little Lone Mountain Town resisted fiercely, its runes intertwining, it was ultimately shattered by the Golden-Haired Lion. A brilliant spray of blood erupted, and the beast swallowed it in one gulp.
A moment later, Little Lone Mountain Town was reduced to ruins, broken walls, and bloodstains. Everyone was dead, yet not even their bones remained, all buried in the bellies of the beasts.
The mountains and plains were filled with beasts. Outside the Great Wilderness, it was an apocalyptic scene. Led by powerful archaic descendants, the beast tide washed over the four corners of the earth, charging toward the end of the world.
In Stone Village, the willow tree was silent. Its tender branches emitted a soft halo of light, shrouding the entire village. The beast tide stampeded past, yet it steered clear of this place.
Perhaps this was the only place to escape the disaster.
"The people are suffering; I know not how many will die in vain. I fear the nearby villages will not be left standing," an elder sighed, his face filled with sorrow. Struggling and surviving together in the Great Wilderness, seeing such a catastrophe arrive, he could not help but feel sadness and sympathy.
He did not know that this calamity was far more severe than he could have imagined. This was no longer just a disaster around the mountain range, but one radiating across the boundless earth!
On this day, blood splattered across the land. Countless tribes were extinguished, fierce birds and savage beasts ran rampant, and prehistoric exotic species emerged, sweeping through every inhabited region. It was a total catastrophe.
In the Vast Mountain Range, chaos qi permeated the air, and immortal light erupted from time to time. Four supreme beings were locked in a great battle, vying for the holy object.
Divine fire burned half the sky to collapse; giant birds swept across the heavens, ferocious beasts tore the firmament, and an iron rod pierced the clouds. The battle grew increasingly intense!
The crystalline, snow-white holy object changed hands several times, constantly shifting owners as each of the four beings obtained it, yet none could truly possess it. The battle continued.
The dozen or so primitive bone fragments of archaic descendants could no longer protect this mountain range. The battle of the four supreme beings caused the rocks to crumble and the heavens to collapse, with one giant mountain after another toppling, ruined beyond recognition.
