"The Defias Brotherhood. That's a really good name, but it's a shame we can't use it," the woman said regretfully. "We're a brotherhood too, but we're the Stonemasons Guild."
Andy murmured the name to himself several times before remembering the Stonemasons Guild. Wasn't that the forerunner of the Defias Brotherhood? And who was this woman?
The woman turned to look at the others, busy at work. Andy didn't know what to say, so he stood quietly behind her. Suddenly, he sensed someone coming up the stairs.
Andy spun around, eyes fixed on the doorway, a sharp glint in his gaze. From this window, he'd had a clear view of everything below, yet he hadn't seen how this person had entered. He hadn't sensed anything until the man came upstairs.
But the woman seemed completely unaware of all this, staring straight outside. Only when the door opened did she turn and hurry toward it. The shadows that had cloaked her vanished in an instant, and she threw herself into a man's arms.
"Father, you're back!" she exclaimed happily.

"Him? I bought him in Booty Bay. He just looked so pitiful..." The woman seemed to notice a hint of displeasure on the man's face and spoke softly.
