The blade flashed like lightning, shooting straight at Shi Tan's face.

"Dodge!" Though Shiba Baiyu had lost her spiritual power, she was still the first to cry out a warning.

Shi Tan knew he had to dodge, or that strike would surely pierce his skull. But faced with such a swift attack, his limbs felt as though they had been filled with lead, leaving him utterly unable to react in time.

In that instant, Yota suddenly threw himself sideways and yanked Shi Tan from his chair; in doing so, he also evaded another blade that stabbed up from beneath the table toward his abdomen.
