The Kido Corps was a semi-experimental, semi-academic division within the Seireitei dedicated to kido. Its daily work naturally involved dealing with all kinds of kido.

Because kido itself was highly dangerous and affected a wide area, the Kido Corps' research facilities could only be located in remote areas far from the center of the Seireitei.

"Come to think of it, ever since I entered the Seireitei, I've never actually set foot in the Kido Corps' research institute..."
