Hearing a voice suddenly come from above his head, Rudbornn jumped in fright.

There had been no spiritual pressure around him all this time—how could someone suddenly be speaking?!

Before he even had time to look up, several vine branches reflexively shot toward the source of the voice. Yet they struck nothing but air.
