"Don't talk about his eyes being blind." Another man shook his head, his fingers tapping a few times on the control panel. "When I was helping him earlier, he was still shivering! His body was shaking like a sieve."
"It seems he encountered something truly terrifying," the third man whispered, his voice laced with a hint of curiosity.
After more than an hour of treatment.
The lid of the healing tank opened, and the green liquid slowly drained away.
Vegeta snapped his eyes open, his pupils shrinking to pinpricks under the harsh light.
As if sensing the white light shining down, his body shuddered violently. Terrified, he immediately squeezed his eyes shut, his eyelids clamped tight.
His arms rose instinctively to shield his face, his back arched, and he curled his entire body into a ball.
Soro! You bastard!
I, Vegeta, will not forgive you!
I will make you pay!
Vegeta gritted his teeth, his jaw muscles bulging.
He slowly opened his eyes again, his pupils darting around as he scanned every corner of the treatment room.
Only after confirming there was no white light did his breathing finally steady.
His eyes were filled with deep, burning hatred, like two charred embers.
"Mr. Vegeta, are you feeling better?" the treatment room staff member asked solicitously, leaning in.
Vegeta nodded silently and stepped out of the healing tank, his bare feet hitting the cold floor.
He stepped forward to pick up a brand-new battle suit, shook it out, and pulled it on.
"Mr. Vegeta seems to have suffered quite a bit," the staff member sighed, his gaze falling on the tattered old battle suit Vegeta had discarded. "Even this high-durability battle suit was shredded."
There was a clear footprint on the chest of the suit, the fabric torn and the edges charred black.
"Where is Frieza?" Vegeta didn't respond, turning his head to ask, his voice raspy. "Is he here?"
"Lord Frieza has already gone out," the staff member replied, lowering his head.
"Hmph!" Vegeta let out a cold snort, his chin lifting slightly.
He strode toward the door.
"Mr. Cui said that once you finished your treatment, he has something to say to you," the staff member called out to Vegeta, taking a step forward. "Please go to the training room!"
"Tell him," Vegeta said without looking back, his pace never faltering, "that I have nothing to say to him!"
He marched forward, the soles of his boots clicking crisply against the metal floor.
"You forgot your scouter!" the staff member said hurriedly, picking up the device from the table and holding it up.
"I have no need for that thing anymore," Vegeta snorted coldly, waving a hand. "Keep it and play with it yourself."
He walked out of the treatment room, his figure disappearing at the end of the corridor.
Vegeta walked through the mechanical halls of Frieza Castle.
The lights on either side of the corridor cast alternating shadows of light and dark across his face.
His brows were furrowed, his gaze fixed straight ahead as he silently planned his next steps.
I will set off for Earth first thing tomorrow morning!
This time, no matter what, I will have my revenge!
Vegeta's fists clenched, his nails digging into his palms.
My combat power has reached at least 24,000 now!
During the battle on Earth, his body had undergone the process of near-death recovery.
His combat power had surged significantly since leaving Earth.
However, I must find a way to deal with that Flash Technique.
Vegeta's brows knit even tighter.
Just as he was thinking this, a figure suddenly appeared in his line of sight, blocking the middle of the corridor.
The man stood with his hands on his hips and his legs spread wide, standing firmly in place.
"Hey, Vegeta." Cui laughed heartily, his hands on his hips, his voice echoing through the corridor. "It looks like you took quite a loss—you even went blind! How ironic! Hahaha!"
He tilted his head, his gaze sweeping up and down over Vegeta.
"Raditz and Nappa are both dead. What kind of person could make the universe's invincible Saiyan look so pathetic?"
"Get lost, Cui!" Vegeta snorted coldly, his gaze scraping over him like a blade. "I don't have time to waste on your nonsense!"
After speaking, Vegeta intended to leave, shifting his steps to the left to bypass Cui.
He truly had no fondness for this man named Cui.
"Snap!"
Cui reached out a large hand, fingers splayed, and grabbed Vegeta by the shoulder guard, his hand hooking onto the edge of the armor.
"Lord Frieza is very angry about your unauthorized actions!" Cui said coldly, the smile at the corner of his mouth vanishing.
"What I choose to do is none of his business!" Vegeta glanced sideways at Cui, narrowing his eyes until a cold glint shone through the slits. "Get your filthy hands off me!"
"However," Cui chuckled, keeping his hand on Vegeta's shoulder and tapping his fingers twice, "Lord Frieza is magnanimous and has already forgiven you."
He paused, his eyes brightening.
"Because he has discovered something very meaningful."
"What?" Vegeta was slightly taken aback, his brow twitching.
"Lord Frieza is very happy." Cui moved his hand from Vegeta's shoulder and tucked it onto his waist, a brilliant smile spreading across his face. "Perhaps he will be able to possess an immortal body after all!"
"You... what did you say?" Vegeta's pupils constricted, his face changing color, his lips slightly parted. "Could it be that the place Frieza went to is..."
"Namek." Cui's smile grew even brighter.
Vegeta was struck as if by lightning, his body freezing in place, his hands trembling slightly.
Damn it!
That bastard Frieza must have overheard our conversation through the scouter!
Vegeta gritted his teeth, a vein throbbing on his forehead.
How could I be so careless!
I cannot let him get there first!
If he does, the entire universe will be his forever!
Soro's matter will have to wait!
"You also seem to want the power of immortality through the Dragon Balls, don't you?" Cui chuckled, tilting his head to look at Vegeta. "I advise you to give up that thought! Lord Frieza intends to have all the Namekians... once he has his wish."
He made a throat-slitting gesture, drawing his finger across his neck.
"That bastard!" Vegeta was incensed, his fists clenching tight.
Without further hesitation, he immediately flew off at high speed.
"Hey, Vegeta!" Cui shouted from behind.
Vegeta turned a deaf ear, his figure disappearing around the corner of the corridor.
"Whoosh!"
A few minutes later, Vegeta boarded a spherical spaceship that shot up from the launch platform, blue exhaust flames spewing from its tail.
The ship broke through the atmosphere and surged into the vastness of space, leaving a faint trail of light in the starry sky.
Earth, West City, Capsule Corp headquarters.
Another seven days passed in a flash.
The courtyard was so quiet that only the chirping of cicadas could be heard.
According to the timekeeping of Atlantis Planet, it was once again the first day of the month, the day to draw a new skill.
Soro stood in the center of the courtyard, his heart filled with excitement as he silently watched the watch on his wrist.
The second hand ticked forward, one notch at a time.
This watch was synchronized to the time on Atlantis Planet.
Soro took a deep breath, his chest expanding, then exhaled slowly.
It was finally 12:00 PM.
The second hand returned to zero, and the minute and hour hands pointed simultaneously to 12.
Skill refresh!
Folks, the new skill is tentatively set at Combat Power x500. I can draw another new skill after arriving on Namek, so hurry up and think about what kind of magical skills would be appropriate!
