Background / History
Li serves as Shrek Academy’s chief entrance examiner when Di Yihong arrives. After confirming that the twelve-year-old has level-32 soul power and three millennium spirit rings, Li waives his test and fees. He also checks Tang San, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing, celebrating the arrival of five promising recruits 2.
Li continues looking out for Di Yihong. Before a spirit-ring expedition, he wakes the oversleeping student and offers to protect him. Di thanks him for the tuition waiver with storage Soul Tools. Li is subsequently stunned when Zhao Wuji tells him how powerful his new student has become 35.
A prize egg later appears to take away Li’s martial soul. Once Di and the livestream viewers explain that this gives him a chance to rebuild his spirit rings, Di supplies the resources and access to the God Realm Fragment. Li emerges rejuvenated, with a restored Dragon Pattern Staff and two 100,000-year rings 89 90.

His friendships with Shrek’s teachers are openly competitive. They comfort him when they think he has lost his martial soul for good, then turn envious when they learn what he stands to gain 89. Months later, Flender, Zhao Wuji, and Lu Qibin voluntarily withdraw from a competition rather than contest an opportunity with him, leaving Li visibly moved 294.
