Background / History
Tang San is the biological son of Tang Hao and A Yin. A Yin was a 100,000-year Spirit Beast who sacrificed herself and became Tang Hao's ninth Spirit Ring; this heritage left Tang San with half Spirit Beast bloodline and the ability to drop Spirit Rings and Soul Bones before level 70. He initially struggles to accept being a demi-human, while Xiao Wu accepts the revelation more readily. 24
He is later exposed as an otherworldly reincarnated soul inhabiting Tang Hao and A Yin's biological son's body. Tang Hao initially reacts with shock and anger, but accepts him because of their shared bloodline and Tang San's Clear Sky Hammer Martial Soul. 184 Their relationship deteriorates afterward, culminating in Tang Hao disowning him and barring him from Clear Sky Sect resources after Tang San's resentment and ambition are revealed. 202
Tang San possesses the Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer Martial Souls, Innate Full Soul Power, Tang Sect hidden weapons, and the Profound Heaven Treasure Record's techniques. His confidence in his inheritance and cultivation repeatedly brings him into conflict with First Hong, who forces him to share Tang Sect methods and subjects him to public trials, punishments, deaths, and resurrections. 23 26 125
Personality
Tang San is resourceful, cautious, and intensely ambitious. He regularly adapts his tactics in battle, using hidden weapons, Purple Demon Eyes, movement techniques, poisons, and both Martial Souls to overcome stronger opponents. 59 98 278 538
His desire for power frequently conflicts with his loyalty to Tang Sect rules and his teacher Yu Xiaogang. He initially refuses to teach Tang Sect skills to outsiders, but later accepts a forced obligation to instruct others after losing a bet. 23 125
He is highly resilient under pain, humiliation, and repeated death, but reacts badly to defeat and perceived betrayal. After Meng Yiran defeats him, he refuses to accept the result, accuses First Hong of interference, and demands a rematch. 60 He also becomes jealous of First Hong's advancement and begins planning in response. 200
