He had originally come here to buy something, but then he saw Aoko getting out of a car. Right afterward, Kaito Kuroba spotted Hyuga Shin sitting inside it.
At the time, Kaito Kuroba did not show himself. Instead, he hid, unwilling to alert Hyuga Shin.
What Kaito Kuroba did not know was that Shin had already noticed him the moment he looked over.
With Shin's sharp senses, discovering Kaito Kuroba had been laughably easy.
Shin simply did nothing about it. Kaito Kuroba, meanwhile, had no idea he had already been discovered.
"Should I ask Aoko?" Kaito Kuroba wanted to ask Aoko about Hyuga Shin. More importantly, he wanted to know what their relationship was.
Seeing Aoko get out of Hyuga Shin's car made Kaito Kuroba feel terribly upset.
He simply took out his phone and dialed Aoko's number.
Aoko was still walking home when the phone suddenly rang, startling her.
"Phew, you scared me to death." Aoko, still shaken, irritably checked to see who was calling.
"It's actually Kaito." Aoko frowned before answering.
"Hello? What are you calling me for?"
Aoko spoke sharply. Her tone was so hostile mainly because she had just been startled, and because she and Kaito Kuroba had been having some conflict lately.
The reason, of course, was that Kaito Kuroba had praised that thief, Phantom Thief Kid, right in front of her, completely disregarding how much Aoko hated him. Naturally, that had caused an argument between them.
Kaito Kuroba was Phantom Thief Kid, so praising Phantom Thief Kid was the same as praising himself.
Because of her father, Aoko Nakamori deeply hated Phantom Thief Kid. Naturally, she could not stand hearing Kaito Kuroba praise him in front of her.
Aoko's tone was harsh, and Kaito Kuroba felt uncomfortable hearing it, but he ultimately held himself
