Just kidding—Chen was having a great time at home, so of course he hadn't gone looking for Sonoko. As a result, Sonoko was very angry.
An angry Sonoko declared that she would never speak to him again. Yet school had only just started when the classic "it smells so good" scene played out. Sure enough, no one could escape that law.
"Did I say that before?" Sonoko played dumb, claiming she didn't remember saying anything like that.
"You're actually playing dumb. The way you do it is kind of cute."
Chen pinched Sonoko's nose and smiled.
After Chen pinched her nose, Sonoko looked very displeased on the surface, but inwardly, she was quite satisfied.
These interactions with Chen made Sonoko feel especially at ease, and for some reason, incredibly comfortable.
She even wanted to take things a step further with Chen, but Ran and Kazuha were right in front of her, and Akako was standing beside Chen as well, so Sonoko could only wave off the thought.
After all, although Sonoko acted very carefree, she was actually quite shy inside.
"Chen, when the next break comes around, how about coming over to my house?" Sonoko invited Chen again, wanting him to come visit.
"As for that, let's talk about it when the next break comes. I'll think about it first." Chen didn't agree to Sonoko's invitation.
"What? A gorgeous beauty is inviting you. Shouldn't you agree right away?" Sonoko asked Chen unhappily.
"But I don't want to agree, so I can only say sorry." Chen spread his hands at Sonoko.
"No, you didn't reject me just now, did you? So think about it some more. Don't reject me, okay?" Sonoko told Chen, asking him not to turn her down yet.
"Fine, then we'll talk about it when the time comes."
