That was right—standing before him was Aoko. Chen was somewhat surprised when he saw her.
He had not expected Aoko to come here.
"Hmph, I never thought I'd run into you here. What rotten luck," Aoko said flatly, shooting Chen an irritated glance.
"If that's how you feel, then don't greet me," Chen said with a faint smile.
Yukiko looked at Chen, then at Aoko, her expression gradually turning strange. From the way they were acting, it seemed there was some kind of grudge between them.
"What's going on? Did you two have some sort of conflict before?"
Although Yukiko was not as gossipy as Sonoko Suzuki, she was still rather curious and desperately wanted to know.
Aoko glanced at Yukiko. Upon hearing her ask whether there was some conflict between them, anger immediately appeared on Aoko's face.
The way she looked at Chen became increasingly hostile, as if her anger toward him had already reached its limit.
"Don't stare at me like that. You'll make me embarrassed. If you keep looking at me like that, I might misunderstand and think you're interested in me."
Chen smiled faintly and spoke to Aoko.
Aoko was so angry that she laughed. What a joke! She would be interested in him? Hmph, Aoko Nakamori would never, ever have any interest in him.
"Keep dreaming. Right now, I want nothing more than to bite you to death," Aoko said, baring her teeth and claws at Chen.
Chen could not help laughing when he saw Aoko's expression. The way she looked now was actually rather cute.
"What are you laughing at?" Aoko demanded angrily.
"Nothing. I wasn't laughing," Chen flatly denied it in the face of Aoko's angry questioning.
