Gin thought that if Hyuga Shin truly intended to make a move against him, he probably would have done so long ago. Since he had not acted yet, perhaps Gin was not in any danger after all.
With that thought, Gin relaxed and aimed the sniper rifle in his hands at Yusaku Kudo and Shuichi Akai.
"I sense danger approaching," Shuichi Akai warned Yusaku Kudo.
That sense of crisis made Shuichi Akai feel as though a gun was trained on his back. It seemed Gin was hiding somewhere in the shadows.
He was most likely aiming a sniper rifle at him. Shuichi Akai's expression turned grave. No matter how confident he was in his skills, a sniper rifle still posed an immense threat.
With a handgun, at close range, he could watch where the other person aimed and dodge in advance. A sniper rifle was much harder to evade.
Besides, Shuichi Akai had no idea where Gin was.

Yusaku Kudo spotted Professor Agasa, as well as Bourbon. Yusaku Kudo was not familiar with Bourbon, but seeing him point a handgun at Professor Agasa made his expression especially stern.
"Release Professor Agasa," Yusaku Kudo said to Bourbon.
Toru Amuro's feelings were equally complicated. He did want to let Professor Agasa go, and he had little desire to make a move against him.
But Gin was watching right now. One careless mistake, and Gin might label him a traitor and shoot him dead.
Bang!
A gunshot rang out from the shadows, and Yusaku Kudo was struck in the arm. If Shuichi Akai had not shoved Yusaku Kudo aside in time, it would not have been as simple as a bullet passing through his arm.
"Be careful," Shuichi Akai told Yusaku Kudo.
Gin had not fired that shot. If it had
